  • Patent number: 8599919
Abstract: An image quality/rate control portion 106 confirms whether a predictive code amount Ci is a target code amount Rt or less. When the predictive code amount Ci is the target code amount Rt or less, the predictive code amount Ci is output to a base layer coding portion 101. Then, a switch 108 is turned off. When the predictive code amount Ci exceeds the target code amount Rt, the target code amount Rt is output to the base layer coding portion 101. Then, the switch 108 is turned on and (predictive code amount Ci?target code amount Rt) is output to an enhancement layer coding portion 103. A buffer 104 stores coded data of the base layer coding portion 101 and the enhancement layer coding portion 103. In this manner, while performing fixed bit rate coding using a single transmission path, image quality of a moving image is made constant so as to prevent deterioration of image quality.

  • Patent number: 7774513
Abstract: A DMA circuit operates a plurality of DMA channels in parallel, enabling reduction of the circuit scale and fewer development processes. A channel manager circuit reads in sequence the control information for each DMA channel from control memory, performs analysis, and according to the divided DMA control sequence, performs state processing (DMA control). Further, the channel manager circuit updates the control information, writes back the control information to the control memory, and executes time-division control of the plurality of DMA channels. Hence the circuit scale can be reduced, contributing to decreased costs, and the number of development processes can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7616388
Abstract: In a thin image capture lens feeding device, wear can be avoided, even when switching between a normal image capture mode and a macro image capture mode is repeated. A lens retention housing may move back and forth when rotated relative to a holder. The holder, in sliding coupling with the lens retention housing, holds the lens retention housing. Enclosed between a pressing cover and the holder are a spacer, micro-coil spring set, and lens retention housing; by coupling the pressing cover and the holder by claw portions, an integrated image capture lens feeding device is assembled. The spacer and lens retention housing are integrated by a linking hole and linking rod, configured such that the lens retention housing and the spacer rotate simultaneously by the same amount, so that wear at the contact portions between the spring means and spacer is avoided.

  • Publication number: 20080291549
Abstract: In a thin image capture lens feeding device, wear of constituent members does not readily occur, even when an operation of switching between a normal image capture mode and a macro image capture mode is repeated. By rotating a lens retention housing 80 relative to a holder 70, the lens retention housing is caused to move back and forth, and an image capture lens incorporated into the lens retention housing can be fed out. This back-and-forth motion is performed by means of a cam mechanism. The holder, in sliding coupling with the lens retention housing, holds the lens retention housing. Between a pressing cover 10 and the holder are enclosed a spacer 20, micro-coil spring set 130, and lens retention housing; by coupling the pressing cover and the holder by means of claw portions, an integrated image capture lens feeding device is assembled.
