  • Patent number: 7350917
Abstract: A light control plastic lens, a sheet-like light control element, and a production method for light control plastic lenses are provided. More specifically, a light control plastic lens, such as a high index polarizing property and/or a photochromic plastic lens that is made by cast polymerization is provided. Also provided is a sheet-like light control element for use in the production of the lenses, as well as a production method of such light control plastic lenses. The light control plastic lens has a sheet-like light control element including at least a light control sheet. In particular, the light control plastic lens has a sheet-like light control element, a curable resin layer laminated on at least one surface of the sheet-like light control element, and a polymerizable lens resin layer laminated at least on the curable resin layer.

  • Patent number: 5468351
Abstract: An apparatus for recovering fresh water or for concentrating a liquid has a structure formed of a roof member 10 having a gradient and a base member 14 provided with a liquid reservoir member 18. A cellulose-based film 20 has one surface saponified 2 to 50 .mu.m deep and the other surface is attached to the inner surface of the roof member. A liquid recovery member 16 is provided in the roof member or the base member, the liquid recovery member being for recovering water which is condensed on the saponified surface of the cellulose-based film and that flows downward.

  • Patent number: 5045627
Abstract: A melt-processable copolyester consisting essentially of:a structural unit (I) of formula (1-1) ##STR1## and formula (1-2) ##STR2## wherein the amount of the species of formula (1-2) is 5 to 95 mole % of the structural unit (I),a structural unit (II) of formula (2)--O--X--O-- (2)wherein X is at least one selected from the group consisting of ##STR3## and a structural unit (III) of formula (3)--O--Y--CO-- (3)wherein Y is at least one selected from the group consisting of ##STR4## the proportion of the structural unit (III) being 10 to 80 mole % of the structural units (I)+(II)+(III) in total, the structural unit (I) being substantially equimolar to the structural unit (II) and inherent viscosity (ln .eta..sub.rel)/C, measured in a concentration of 0.16 g/dl in pentafluorophenol at 60.degree. C., being not less than 0.5 dl/g.
