    Abstract: A mounting structure for mounting a window panel on a window frame of a vehicle body including a fastener provided on the rear surface of the window panel, the fastener having a groove engageable with a flange of the window frame and having a removed section formed between opposed end surfaces thereof, and a spacer provided on the flange of the window frame and positioned to correspond to the removed section of the fastener, the spacer having opposed end surfaces which may engage the end surfaces of the fastener. The end surfaces of the spacer and the end surfaces of the fastener are preferably shaped such that the end surfaces of the spacer engage the end surfaces of the fastener to prevent the spacer from dropping out of the removed section of the fastener when the window panel is mounted on the window frame by engaging the groove of the fastener with the flange of the window frame, with the spacer received in the removed section of the fastener.

Each of the side molding parts associated with each side edge of the windshield is larger in thickness compared to the upper and corner molding parts, where a water drain channel is formed.

    Abstract: A molding method which provides a relatively simple structure, while also providing a pleasing appearance which is adaptable to a variety of ornamental and artistic applications. The molding is produced by extruding an ornamental core, and joining trimming portions to the sides of the ornamental core. Where the ornamental core and trimming are formed of materials which can be readily joined together, the trimming is melt bonded directly to the side surfaces of the ornamental core. Alternatively, a foil laminate can be provided, and the ornamental core is joined to an upper layer of the foil laminate, with the trimming joined to a lower layer of the foil laminate. If desired, the width of the ornamental coil can be changed during extrusion molding, such that the width varies along the longitudinal direction of the molding.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a glass plate having a molding formed on a peripheral edge thereof. The present invention provides an extrusion die having first and second void spaces formed therein. The first void space is provided for supplying an adhesive to the peripheral edge, and the second void space is provided for supplying a molding material to the peripheral edge. The first and second void spaces are specifically arranged relative to each other. With this, while the glass plate is moved relative to the extrusion die, the molding is extruded on the peripheral edge simultaneously with the formation of the adhesive layer on the peripheral edge. Thus, the formations of the molding and the adhesive layer are conducted in one production process. With this, the production efficiency is much improved.

    Abstract: A process and apparatus for manufacturing a frame with a groove such as a molding for use with a panel such as a windshield of an automobile. The process includes the steps of preparing a dummy panel having an outer configuration and a thickness equal to those of the panel, and continuously moving an extrusion port of a molding die means along the peripheral edge of the dummy panel so that a molding product is continuously formed along the peripheral edge of the dummy panel. The molding product is stripped from the peripheral edge of the dummy panel to obtain the frame with a groove. The groove is closely engageable with the peripheral edge of the panel. The apparatus includes a dummy panel having an outer configuration and a thickness equal to those of the panel, molding die means having an extrusion port, and moving means for moving the extrusion port of the molding die means relative to the peripheral edge of the dummy panel.

The end of the plunger is adapted to be moved into and out of a control pressure chamber of valve case. A port for introducing a vacuum from a vacuum passage into the control pressure chamber and a port for introducing the atmospheric pressure into the same are formed in the valve case coaxially with each other.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of making a plastic casing with a conductive film which is effective to screen electromagnetic waves and prevent electrification. The method comprises the steps of removably coating a conductive material containing coarse conductive powder onto a mold surface of a mold set for forming a plastic casing, drying the coated conductive material to form a solidified film, injecting a fluidized thermoplastic material under high pressure into the mold set, and compressing the solidified film by the high temperature and high pressure of the thermoplastic material, thereby anchoring the solidified film to the contact surface of the molded casing opposite to the solidified film. The conductive film of the plastic casing thus made has a highly aggregate layer in which the particles of conductive powder are densely collected into point-to-point and/or surface-to-surface contact so that the contacting area of the particles is vastly increased.
