  • Patent number: 5826805
Abstract: An electrostatic coating machine comprising at least two paint tanks (13A, 13B) for pushing out a paint by a pressure of a hydraulic fluid which one is attached to a rotary base (14) while being electrically insulated from each other, and can be positioned to a coating position opposed to the machine body (3) by the rotation of the rotary base (14) such that while one paint tank is at the coating position, the other paint tank is engaged with a paint charging attachment (22) that is disposed being electrically insulated from the machine body (3) and has a paint supply port (Ps) for supplying a cleaning fluid and a paint of a next color and a drain recovery port (Dr) for recovering drains. Cleaning/paint charging time can be shortened to improve operation efficiency and insulation countermeasure for the paint supply system can be saved.

  • Patent number: 5190588
Abstract: An electrostatic coating facility for an electroconductive coating material comprising a coating machine disposed in a coating zone while being grounded to the earth, an insulated conveyer disposed in the coating zone for conveying an object to be coated in an electrically insulated state and applying a high voltage to the object, an entering conveyer disposed for carrying the object into the coating zone, a delivery conveyer for carrying the coated object out of the coating zone, and a relay transfer device interposed between the insulated conveyer 1 and the entering conveyer or the delivery conveyer for transferring the object in an electrically insulated state while keeping a required insulation distance between each of them. Aqueous coating material free from public pollution can be used with no troubles for taking insulative measures on the side of the coating machine and without worry of spark discharge.

  • Patent number: 5164571
Abstract: A heating apparatus for use in the process of coating workpieces with an aqueous colored material such as a water-base paint. Radiant heaters are used in a flash-off operation to remove moisture from the coating material on the workpieces while the workpieces are transported between the heaters. The coating color is specified in advance, and an optimal moisture removal operation is performed by automatically regulating the radiant heat intensity suitable for the specified color.

  • Patent number: 5152466
Abstract: An electrostatic coating apparatus for coating an electroconductive paint includes an electrostatic coating machine applied with a high voltage, a paint supply pipeline for supplying an electroconductive paint and a reciprocal pump disposed between the electrostatic coating machine and the paint supply pipeline and adapted such that the paint introduced from the input port is discharged at a predetermined flow rate from the output port of the pump and supplied at a predetermined amount to the electrostatic coating machine. The input port of the pump is made detachable from the paint supply pipeline. Electric insulation to paint supply pipelines can be saved. The reciprocal pump may be replaced with a paint charge pipe connected with a cleaning liquid supply pipe for supplying a cleaning liquid at a predetermined flow rate, thereby discharging the paint from the paint charge pipe.
