Publication number: 20200017746Abstract: A base fluid for heat medium contains a hydrophilic ionic liquid and water. A molecular weight of the hydrophilic ionic liquid is at or below 150. The hydrophilic ionic liquid is methylammonium nitrate. Since the ionic liquid has favorable thermal stability, the thermal stability of the base fluid for heat medium can be secured. Since the molecular weight of the hydrophilic ionic liquid is at or below 150, the base fluid for heat medium has a low kinematic viscosity. Further, since the freezing point depression effect can be obtained by dissolving the ionic liquid in water, a low freezing point can be realized.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 3, 2019Publication date: January 16, 2020Inventors: Junichi NARUSE, Touru KAWAGUCHI, Kouji INAGAKI, Takashi KANEKO

Patent number: 10377937Abstract: A heat transfer system has an energy converter, a heat transfer medium, a transfer part, and a heat exchanger. The energy converter converts an energy of an energy source into an energy in a different state and generates a heat while converting the energy. The heat transfer medium is in a liquid state and receives the heat from the energy converter. The heat exchanger dissipates the heat from the heat transfer medium to an outside of the heat transfer system. The heat transfer medium contains H2O and a solute compatible with the H2O. The solute has a molecular structure including two hydroxyl groups. A length of a binding chain between an oxygen atom of one of the two hydroxyl groups and an oxygen atom of an other of the two hydroxyl groups is shorter than a length of a binding chain between two hydroxyl groups of an ethylene glycol molecule.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2016Date of Patent: August 13, 2019Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Takuya Fuse, Touru Kawaguchi, Hajime Shingai

The heat from the heat source is transferred to the heat dissipator through the heat medium. The heat medium is a solution that includes a solvent and at least one solute. The at least one solute is configured by a molecule. The molecule has (i) a first portion that selectively approaches a solid-liquid interface of the solvent when a temperature of the heat medium becomes lower than or equal to a predetermined base temperature and (ii) a second portion that is lyophobic and coupled with the first portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 10, 2015Publication date: March 23, 2017Inventors: Takuya FUSE, Takashi KANEKO, Touru KAWAGUCHI

Publication number: 20080078975Abstract: A heat transport medium includes a single solvent and fine particles 1 of a predetermined material dispersed in the solvent, and transports heat transferred from a heat transfer surface 5. Fine particles 1 includes one or more atoms, and structural substances 3 are arranged on a surface of fine particles 1 to protect it. Furthermore, structural substances 3 having a functional group capable of adsorbing onto fine particles 1 are floated around fine particles 1 in a state where structural substances are not adsorbed onto the fine particle. Also, structural substances 3 adsorbed onto the surface of fine particles 1 are arranged so as to form spaces which enable the floating structural substances 3 to adsorb around the fine particle.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2007Publication date: April 3, 2008Inventors: Touru Kawaguchi, Eiichi Torigoe, Yoshimasa Hijikata, Toshiyuki Morishita, Yasumasa Hagiwara
