Abstract: A blower is attached to a heat exchanger through an attachment member. One of the heat exchanger and the attachment member has at least one engagement portion which is detachably engaged by an elastic deformation with a hole portion provided in other one of the heat exchanger and the attachment member. At least one of the heat exchanger and the attachment member is deformed before the engagement portion is engaged with the hole portion, and is deflected and reformed when the engagement portion engages with the hole portion. Accordingly, a counteractive force due to a deflection is applied to the attachment member, to be pressed to the heat exchanger. Therefore, a relative movement between the attachment member and the heat exchanger can be restricted, even if a gap is formed therebetween when the attachment member is attached to the heat exchanger.

Abstract: This invention concerns disc brakes of the kind in which pads are adapted to be urged by hydraulic fluid acting assembly into engagement with opposite faces of a friction disc. In a disc brake of this type in accordance with the present invention, the pads are directly supported by a stationary member secured to a stationary part of the vehicle chassis or body, while the fluid acting assembly is supported by an individual adapter which is in turn secured to the stationary part of the vehicle chassis or body so that the fluid acting assembly is freed from any affection of strain from the stationary member which normally tends to be strained under a known drag force when the brake is actuated.

Abstract: A disc brake for use on automotive vehicles comprising a hydraulic cylinder housing located on one side of a rotatable brake disc, wherein a rigid stationary member has at each side a torque taking arm for absorbing the brake torque created on friction pads during brake application, said torque taking arm being extended above and across the brake disc as straight as a rail at the other side of the disc.
