  • Publication number: 20050019613
Abstract: A high wear resistant hard film is characterized by including a coating layer consisting of a metal nitride, which is formed on the outside surface of an object to be treated; a substrate layer consisting of a nitride of Ti or Cr, which is provided between the coating layer and the object to be treated; and an intermediate layer containing compositions of the coating layer in contact with the intermediate layer and the substrate layer, which is provided at an interface between the coating layer and the substrate layer, and a tool is provided with the film. There is provided a hard film having excellent oxidation resistance even at 1000° C. or higher and also having very high wear resistance.

  • Patent number: 6726741
Abstract: Aluminum powder, neutron absorber, and third particle composed of oxide, nitride, carbide or boride are mixed, and preformed by cold isostatic pressing (CIP). Successively, by canning the preformed material, this preformed material is sintered by hot isostatic pressing (HIP). After sintering, the can outside and end face are machined by grinding, and the billet is taken out. Square pipes are formed by extruding this billet.

  • Publication number: 20030213391
Abstract: A printing press, and an apparatus and a process for regenerating a printing plate can repetitiously reuse the same printing plate and shorten time for decomposition of image areas formed by a hydrophobic organic compound under irradiation with activating light to delete the image areas. A process for regenerating a printing plate including a photosensitive layer, formed on the surface of a substrate, having a photocatalyst exhibits hydrophilicity responsive to activating light having energy higher than photocatalyst's a band-gap energy, and one or more hydrophobic image areas, formed on the surface of the photosensitive layer and operable to hold ink, comprises the steps of: removing ink remaining on the printing plate; hydrophilizing the surface of the printing plate by irradiating with the activating light and by heating the printing plate to delete the hydrophobic image areas; and applying an organic compound onto the printing plate.

  • Patent number: 6630100
Abstract: A rectangular pipe is molded by mixing aluminum powder with powder of a neutron absorbing material, molding a premolded body by means of cold isostatic pressing (CIP), canning the premolded body, sintering the premolded body by means of hot isostatic pressing (HIP), performing outer cutting and end face cutting on the can after the sintering, taking a billet out of the can, and extruding this billet.

  • Publication number: 20020152841
Abstract: An aluminum powder is mixed with a neutron absorber powder through cold isostatic press to form a preliminary molding. The preliminary molding is then subjected to sintering under no pressure in vacuum. After sintering, a billet is subjected to induction heating and hot extrusion to form a square pipe.
