Abstract: A monitoring system includes a factory automation (FA) computer for receiving information from a manufacturing apparatus, an information collecting computer for receiving the information on a LAN from the FA computer and sending the received information to a facility operation monitoring host computer, and the facility operation monitoring host computer constructs a database based on the received information and displaying the information for a supervisor in accordance with the constructed database. The facility operation monitoring host computer includes databases, and displays information stored in the databases on a monitor, linking the information from the databases.

Abstract: A plant management system including a terminal device provided in each factory, a server connected to the terminal device through a network, and a data base connected to the server. The server provides, to the terminal device, storage of information to the data base and reading of the information of the data base. Information about each plant of each factory and a history of movement of the plant and a history of maintenance are stored in the data base. It is possible to unitarily manage the location, movement and maintenance histories of the plant. Moreover, it is possible to unitarily manage parts for maintenance of the plant together. Furthermore, it is possible to implement a worldwide plant management at a minimum cost by utilizing the internet and the WWW browser.

Abstract: A computerized document management system includes a database, mailing means, document registration means, delivery management means and deadline management means. The document registration means makes a preliminary registration of information about a document onto the database and asks a user for an approval of this preliminary registered document using the mailing means. Upon the approval given by the user, the document registration means registers the date of the approval on the database so that the document is formally registered. The formal registration of the document is notified to the departments by the delivery management means using the mailing means. The delivery management means also requests for a confirmation of the notification using the mailing means, and registers reception of the confirmation on the database. In case where the confirmation is not received within a predetermined period of time, the deadline management means reminds the department using the mailing means.

Abstract: A user transmits, from an on-premises terminal or an off-premises terminal, his/her user ID and password as well as an address of a web page that the user attempts to access. A login authentication apparatus receives them and determines whether the received user ID, password and address of the web page match any of those stored in an authentication table within its master file. If they match, the login authentication apparatus transmits the address of the web page to a proxy server, so that the user is allowed to access the desired web page. Accordingly, the login authentication system ensures security on a web page basis within a web server, and the operation of the user is simplified.
