  • Publication number: 20090190067
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a light diffuser plate sufficiently suppressed in its yellowish coloring or the like and excellent in impact resistance. The present invention relates to a light diffuser plate comprises a base layer which contains a styrenic resin and light diffuser particles, and a surface layer which contains a polycarbonate resin and which is laminated on at least one surface of the base layer. As the styrenic resin, a styrenic monomer-methacrylic acid copolymer resin is preferably used.

  • Patent number: 7423094
Abstract: A composition comprising a polycarbonate resin and a silicone rubber particle having a weight average particle diameter of from about 0.5 ?m to about 10 ?m is provided. The composition has high impact resistance and is less colored. The sheet obtained by molding the composition is useful as a light-diffusing sheet.

  • Publication number: 20080186429
Abstract: To provide a light diffuser plate which is lightweight and has sufficient strength and is not deformed by heat or humidity, and also has sufficient surface hardness and is also excellent in scratch resistance. A light diffuser plate 3 of the present invention comprises a base layer 8 which is made of a resin composition containing light diffusing particles in an amount of 0.1 parts by mass or more and less than 5 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of a propylene polymer, and a surface layer 9 which is integrally laminated on one or both surfaces of the base layer 8, and the surface layer 9 is made of a resin composition containing particles having a volume average particle diameter of 10 to 200 ?m in an amount of 5 to 50 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of a propylene polymer.

  • Publication number: 20080050539
Abstract: The present invention provides a light diffusing plate (1) which is lightweight and is less likely to be damaged, and is not deformed by moisture absorption and heat from the light source. The light diffusing plate (1) of the present invention comprises a propylene polymer having a propylene unit content of 98% by mass or more and a light diffusing agent dispersed in the polypropylene polymer. The light diffusing plate (1) of the present invention is used in a backlight device (4) comprising a light source (5) disposed on the back side of the light diffusing plate. This backlight device (4) is used in a liquid crystal display device (2) comprising a liquid crystal cell (3), the light diffusing plate (1) being located between the liquid crystal cell (3) and the light source (5).

  • Publication number: 20060110115
Abstract: A polycarbonate resin light diffusion plate capable to sufficiently diffusing light from plural light sources disposed direct thereunder, and having no or little luminance unevenness caused by the light sources, is provided. The light diffusion plate has characteristics such as a total light transmittance from 40-80%, a total light reflectance (Rt) 20-55%, and a diffusivity of 20% or more.

  • Publication number: 20060051704
Abstract: A resin plate comprising a first and at least one second layers is provided. The first layer comprises a resin having 75% by weight or larger of styrene-based unit on the basis of resin (A), and the second layer comprises an ultraviolet absorber and a resin having 50% by weight or larger of styrene-based unit on the basis of resin (B), in which the ultraviolet absorber is contained in the second layer in the amount of 0.1 to 3 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the resin in the second layer and is spread at 0.2 to 2 g per square meter of the second layer. The resin plate has little deformation due to moisture absorption and high durability, is even if the amount of ultraviolet absorber contained is relatively small.
