  • Publication number: 20210072186
Abstract: Provided is an output checking device for a wire rope flaw detector, with which the presence or absence of abnormality in an output of a wire rope flaw detector can be more reliably checked. The output checking device for a wire rope flaw detector includes: a pipe; and a test body to be allowed to move inside the pipe. The pipe is placed in a wire rope placement portion of a wire rope flaw detector, through which a wire rope moves when the wire rope flaw detector detects damage of the wire rope. The test body includes: a test piece guide made of a non-magnetic material; and a test piece made of a magnetic material, which is provided to the test piece guide.

  • Patent number: 10801999
Abstract: In a rope damage diagnostic testing apparatus, an ultrasound applicator generates ultrasonic waves in a wire rope by making the wire rope vibrate due to magnetostriction effect. A detecting element detects changes in a state of propagation of the ultrasonic waves in the wire rope. An excitation coil and the detecting element are disposed in a parallelogram that has as a first opposite side length a length of a portion of the wire rope in which one of the outer layer strands makes one revolution around the wire rope, and that has as a second opposite side length a product of a diameter and number of the outer layer wires that are included in one of the outer layer strands.

  • Patent number: 9075023
Abstract: A wire rope flaw detector that is capable of accommodating a plurality of wire rope diameters and is inexpensive includes at least two magnetic sensor units that are integrated with a magnetizer and include planer coils placed opposite to each other with a magnetic circuit generated by the magnetizer in between, in the direction almost parallel to the magnetic circuit in a predetermined section of a wire rope. The detector further includes an adjuster capable of changing the distance between the at least two magnetic sensor units depending on the diameter of the wire rope.
