Abstract: A disk device for playing back information recorded on an optical disk, includes a device body; a disk tray, moving in the device body between a charging position, into which the optical disk is charged, and a discharging position from which the optical disk is discharged; a chassis, provided in the device body; a turntable, moving between an ascending position and a descending position when the chassis is displaced, and the turntable on which the optical disk is set; and a disk clamper, pivotally arranged on an upper plate of the device body, and clamping the optical disk against the turntable when the turntable is moved to the ascending position. The disk clamper is arranged on the upper plate with a clearance therebetween so that the disk clamper is moved in all radial directions, and an amount of the clearance in a first direction, in which the disk tray moves from the discharging position to the charging position, is smaller than amounts of the clearance in the other directions.

Abstract: An optical disk drive includes a first gear formed on a rotary shaft of a motor, a second gear meshing with the first gear, a third gear co-axially and integrally rotating with the second gear, a fourth gear meshing with the third gear, and a slider to which the fourth gear is mounted, and sliding in accordance with a rotation of the third gear. The third gear is press-fitted into a mating hole of the second gear. The second gear and the third gear slip at a press fitting portion one another when a torque having a predetermined value or greater is applied to the press fitting portion.

Abstract: It is an object to provide a drive gear capable of mating with a mating gear smoothly and a disc drive equipped with the drive gear. A pinion gear 610 is a drive gear to be arranged on an axis for transmitting rotational force to a large gear 631 of a first gear 630 as the mating gear arranged on another axis, the pinion gear 610 being adapted to be mated with the large gear 631 by moving the large gear 631 as one of these gears in a state where the pinion gear 610 as the other gear of these gears is being fixed on the axis thereof.

Abstract: It is an object to provide a disc tray and a disc drive equipped with the disc tray, in which a disc is not disengaged or comes away from a disc holding portion when the disc tray is being moved. The disc tray 51 is equipped with the disc tray 51 for conveying a disc 10 between a disc loading position inside the disc drive and a disc ejection position outside the disc drive. The disc tray 51 includes a disc holding portion 511 in which there are provided a guiding slant surface 512 for guiding an outer periphery 103 of the disc 10, and an inner wall portion 513 which is formed continuously to an inner edge of the guiding slant surface 512 so as to oppose to the outer peripheral surface 103 of the disc 10 placed on the disc tray 51 and arranged in parallel to the thickness direction of the outer peripheral surface 103 of the disc 10.

Abstract: It is an object to provide a loading drive mechanism by which it is possible to manually move a disc tray smoothly, and by which the number of parts can be made relatively small and assembling operation can be carried out easily, and a disc drive provided with the loading drive mechanism.
