  • Patent number: 11067618
Abstract: An example embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method of diagnosing root causes of anomalous AMI meter data. The method can include receiving meter data, identifying anomalous data in the meter data, comparing the anomalous data to a database of known root causes, and generating a work order if there is a known root causes of the anomalous data. The method can also include requesting manual review of anomalous data without a known root cause and receiving input indicating a discovered root cause. The method can add the discovered root cause to the database of known root causes.

  • Publication number: 20160258937
Abstract: The present invention provides a urine test device incorporating a urinary catheter attachment device. This urine test device may be used in an ER environment or the like to simultaneously test a catheterized (or uncatheterized) patient for pregnancy, alcohol, a variety of illicit and legal drugs, blood in the urine, urine glucose, disease, point of care concerns, and/or the like. The urine test device is selectively attached to a patient's urinary catheter (or the associated urinary bag or tubing) to conveniently extract a urine sample for testing on site. Alternatively, a urine sample can be introduced into the urine test device via a more conventional approach, such as voluntarily by the patient, or by syringe by a medical professional. Appropriate attachments are provided for these purposes.

  • Patent number: 9266227
Abstract: A tool for operating a vehicle tire chain tensioner and a method of using the same. The tool is a member having spaced apart first and second ends. The first end is configured to engage a first style of chain tensioner and the second end is configured to engage a second style of chain tensioner. The first end includes a leg extending outwardly at ninety degrees from the member in a first direction; and the second end includes spaced apart first and second arms that extend outwardly at ninety degrees from the member in a second direction. The member, leg, and first and second arms are all aligned in the same plane. The leg's free end is complementary to a recess defined in the first style of chain tensioner. A section of the second style of chain tensioner is received in a gap defined between the first and second arms.

  • Patent number: 8712354
Abstract: FM radio transmitter is being widely used in portable devices as a convenient way to output audio contents to ubiquitously available FM radio receivers in cars or homes. However, the signal from the FM radio transmitter may be interfering with the signal being broadcast by an FM radio station. A scan system is incorporated into the FM radio transmitter to quickly and reliably identify a vacant channel for the FM radio transmitter to use. The scan system measures on-channel and out-of-channel signal quality and selects a best channel for transmission based on the measured on-channel and out-of-channel signal quality. The scan system is also incorporated into an FM radio receiver to quickly and reliably tune to a valid channel. The scan system selects the valid channel based on the measured on-channel and out-of-channel signal quality.

  • Patent number: 8478218
Abstract: A scan system receives signals within a band from an antenna and divides the band into sub-bands and scans the channels of each sub-band to determine a candidate channel based on the lowest figure of merit (FOM) and includes an on-channel selection block responsive to a received digital signal and operative to select only the on-channel frequencies and to substantially disregard the out-of-channel frequencies from the digital signal. The scan system generates a FOM on-channel signal representing a measurement of the signal quality of the on-channel signal and includes an out-of-channel selection block responsive to the digital signal and operative to select only the out-of-channel frequencies and to substantially disregard the on-channel frequencies from the digital signal and operative to generate a FOM out-of-channel signal representing a measurement of the signal quality of the out-of-channel signal.

  • Publication number: 20100180382
Abstract: A travel pillow designed specifically for commercial airline travel is disclosed. The unique feature of this travel pillow is that it is designed to provide support for the legs of children and adults. It essentially allows a child to stretch out their legs directly out front and horizontal to their seat so there is no need to lie across accompanied travelers. The pillows shape is roughly a rectangular cube, when inflated to its maximum level it measures 12? by 18? by 18?, the pillow is firm but soft and sized and shaped to fit the leg room area in front of an airplane seat.
