Publication number: 20250143913Abstract: An ostomy device includes an inflatable member and a tubing. The inflatable member defines a hole extending therethrough. The inflatable member is configured to extend about a portion of an intestine proximate a stoma. In an operative configuration, the inflatable member movable between a deflated configuration, in which the stoma is maintained in an open position, and an inflated configuration, in which the inflatable member expands to decrease a size of the hole such and close the stoma. The tubing extends from a first end connected to the inflatable member to a second end. A channel of the tubing is in communication with an interior of the inflatable member such that inflation fluid is configured to flow through the tubing to move the inflatable member between the deflated and inflated configurations.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2024Publication date: May 8, 2025Inventors: Serena SCOTT, Siavash Sam PARKHIDEH, Tracy ANDREOTTI, Jennifer LEWITZKY, Paul CARNE, Daniel KEENAN, Brian LUIS

Publication number: 20240315687Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a tissue traction device, e.g., for endoscopic tissue dissection. For example, a tissue traction device may include a first clip comprising opposable jaws. The device may include a traction band having a first end, a second end, a length therebetween and extending along a longitudinal axis. The band may have a first aperture at the first end. A second aperture may be at the second end of the band. A first jaw of the opposable jaws of the first clip may be disposed through the first aperture.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 5, 2024Publication date: September 26, 2024Applicant: Boston Scientific Scimed, Inc.Inventors: Danny Lee, John Unger, Anne Sluti, Kathleen M. Laliberte, Talha Riaz, Tracy Andreotti, Routha Sim, Juan C. Rodriguez Salazar, Caroline Riedel, Jose L. Garcia-Cordero, Ryan V. Wales

Publication number: 20130261641Abstract: An insert or elongate member divides the lumen of an elongated medical device, such as the working channel of an endoscope, into two or more secondary lumens. The insert or elongate member thereby improves the ability of the lumen of the elongated medical device to accommodate multiple items or uses. The insert or elongate member is capable of securing one item, such as a pull line, such that it does not interfere with another item positioned in the lumen of the elongated medical device or with another use of the lumen of the elongated medical device. In accordance with some embodiments, a ligating instrument comprises a ligating band dispenser, a pull line, and an elongate member having a dividing wall structure or a plurality of lumens, wherein the elongate member divides a working channel of an endoscope into a plurality of secondary lumens.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2013Publication date: October 3, 2013Applicant: BOSTON SCIENTIFIC SCIMED, INC.Inventors: Oscar R.
