Abstract: Liquid laundry products comprising containers comprising liquid laundry compositions are disclosed. The liquid laundry compositions comprise approximately 2% wt to approximately 8% wt of a benzyl-substituted quaternary ammonium compound and score 75 or less under Test 437 from Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) titled Bovine Corneal Opacity and Permeability Test Method for Identifying Ocular Corrosives and Severe Irritants. As a result, the disclosed liquid laundry products do not require child-resistant packaging under 40 C.F.R. § 157, subpart B.

Abstract: Compositions are disclosed comprising approximately 2% wt to approximately 8% wt of a benzyl-substituted quaternary ammonium compound, approximately 0.3% wt to approximately 1.5% wt of an alkylamine oxide, and approximately 0.4% wt to approximately 1% wt of phenoxyethanol. The disclosed compositions provide improved reduction in bacteria and viruses during the last rinse cycle of an automatic laundry machine while also providing fabric protection.

Preferably the composition is essentially free of fluorine atoms. The compositions exhibit good cleaning efficacy, and excellent shelf stability exhibited by low loss of the hydrogen peroxide subsequent to accelerated aging tests.

Abstract: A containment bag 1 which may be used in home dry cleaning is made of textile with an impermeable finish and an interior capable of absorbing loose particles and soil. The containment bag 1 is used in a home dryer dry cleaning and freshening system. The textile of the containment bag 1 has a layer of woven or knit fabric with an impermeable coating and a soft, hairy layer on its interior. The inside of the containment bag 1 is prewetted with cleaning composition. Preferably a liquid cleaning composition is employed and the cleaning composition may include a fragrance composition. A process for cleaning a garment is also provided.

The cleaning compositions useful in conjunction with a a domestic dry cleaning operation the cleaning compositions are contacted with a soiled garment or textile during a tumbling such as is possible with a domestic clothes dryer. The cleaning compositions contain a major proportion of water, and further include minor amounts of a nonionic alkoxylated alcohol, anionic surfactant selected from alkyl sulfosuccinates, alkyl ether sulfosuccinates, alkylamide sulfosuccinates, alkyl sulfosuccinamates, as well as salt forms thereof, organic solvent selected from alcohols and glycol ethers, as well as optional constituents including fluorosurfactants, pH adjusting agents, fragrances, fragrance solubilizers, and preservatives.

Abstract: Aqueous cleaning and surface treatment compositions for imparting oil and water repellency to treated surfaces which comprise:(a) fluoroaliphatic radical-containing poly(oxyalkylene) compound;(b) anti-resoiling composition;(c) anionic surfactant compound, preferably one or more selected from alkyl sulfates, alkyl benzene sulfates, and alkane sulfonates as well as salts thereof;(d) organic solvent;(e) citric acid salts, preferably one or more anhydrous and dihydrous sodium citrates(f) waterwherein the are at a neutral or alkaline pH, especially from about 8 to about 10. The compositions are particularly shelf stable, and exhibit excellent shelf stability in pressurized aerosol containers.

Abstract: Aqueous carpet cleaning compositions are described which provide an effective cleaning effect and further impart water and oil repellent characteristics to carpet surfaces and carpet fibers treated with the same. Processes for the production of such compositions, as well as methods for their application are also disclosed.
