  • Publication number: 20240152211
Abstract: Disclosed is a touchless engagement system for a user having at least one computer processor and user interface operable with at least one memory storage medium on which operates a gesture-reading software platform, an access portal, and at least one data collection software program. The system includes at least one digital display. The system includes at least one motion sensing input interface has at least one RGB camera assembly and at least one infrared projector and detector assembly. At least one gesture-reading software platform is designed to assess the user within a selected physical area via the motion sensing input. A data collection software program is designed to collect data about at least one or more of user gestures, user commands, data retrieved because of commands, and identifiers, and assess data for user needs. The system may display advertisement, textual information, and statistics, and offers one or more command pathways.

  • Publication number: 20090283133
Abstract: An article that is suitable for use as a solar concentrating mirror for enhancing the use of solar collection devices, such as solar cells. The article includes a multilayer optical film and a compliant UV protective layer. The article addresses degradation issues in solar concentration devices, provides specific bandwidths of electromagnetic energy to the solar cell while eliminating or reducing undesirable bandwidths of electromagnetic energy that may degrade or adversely affect the solar cell, and renders a compliant sheet of material that may be readily formed into a multitude of shapes or constructions for end use applications.

  • Patent number: 6559385
Abstract: A stranded cable that includes a plurality of brittle load bearing wires and a means for maintaining the stranded arrangement of the brittle wires. Because the load bearing wires are brittle, they cannot be sufficiently deformed during conventional cable stranding processes in such a way as to maintain their helical arrangement. Therefore, the means for maintaining the helical arrangement of the stranded wires allows the stranded cable to be conveniently provided as an intermediate article or as a final article. When used as an intermediate article, it may be later incorporated into a final article such as overhead power transmission cables. The maintaining means may be a tape, an adhesive tape, or a binder applied to the stranded wires.
