    Abstract: A powered rental appliance which has a power cut off switch, a timer which is preset to a hiring period prior to the appliance being hired to a hiree, display means to display the hire time remaining, and means to reset the timer upon payment of an additional hire charge to the hirer, whereby the cut off switch is activated after the preset hire period has been exceeded without an additional hire charge having been paid to the hirer.
