Abstract: An adapter for a mobile device is provided. The adapter comprises a plug including an outer surface and an inner surface, the inner surface opposite the outer surface. The adapter further comprises a surface mount connection port located at the outer surface. The adapter further comprises a male connector extending from the inner surface. The adapter further comprises one or more electrical connections between the male connector and the surface mount connection port. The plug is configured to mate with a socket of a device, and the male connector is configured to mate with a respective female connection port of the device located within the socket, the outer surface of the plug being flush with a respective outer surface of the device when the plug is mated with the socket.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for automatically adapting a user interface for a computer operated device in response to the manner in which the device is physically operated and the conditions surrounding operation. The system provides sensors on or within a device in order to detect the physical position, identity, or orientation of an object used for interfacing with the device. The orientation of the device and the environmental conditions around the device are also determined. In turn, the system adapts the interactive control or input elements and/or the non-interactive elements of the UI in order to optimize usability of the device.

Abstract: An electronic device comprises a housing and a battery arrangement. The housing has a recess which is shaped to receive a removable battery. The battery arrangement includes a locking mechanism automatically securing the battery within the recess from an initial position into a final position. The battery arrangement prevents a removal of the battery until a powering down procedure of the device is completed.

In one form, a golf training apparatus includes a substrate with a lower portion and a hooded upper portion and a guide extension coupled to the lower portion. The guide extension includes a straight portion positioned substantially parallel to an edge of the lower portion and an angled portion provided at an angle relative to the edge of the lower portion. The guide extension is coupled to the lower portion at a distance away from the hooded upper portion.

The user has the benefit of using the larger display and keyboard of the computer instead of the miniature display and keyboard of the telephone. These features greatly expand the capability of the telephone in retrieving and accessing wireless data through the Internet.

Abstract: A display device comprising a display screen and a pivoting system coupled to the display device is disclosed. The pivoting system allows for rotation of the display screen from portrait to landscape; and for flipping the display from front to back, and for the display device to be folded into a compact form. The design in accordance with the present invention offers a range of freedom of movement not available with previous conventional designs. In a preferred embodiment, the display device 100 can be lifted approximately 130 mm from a flat folded position. A user can rotate the display 90° degrees from portrait through landscape orientations. A user can also flip the display 180° from front to back, which will allow users on opposite sides of a desk to view the same image without turning the display around. All of these features may be used in combination, allowing the user to take advantage of multiple positioning options.
