Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed to provide assistance to a player by providing practice game scenarios that replicate a key event that the player finds difficult to complete and a timing requirement within which the achieve the key event. The practice game scenarios are customized for the player and are based on input skills acquired by the player during different gameplay sessions. Along with the practice game scenario several tools are provided to assist the player to achieve their goal of mastering the inputs for the video game.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a training option to improve input skills of the user include detecting selection of the training option for a video game. Responsive to the training option selection, a plurality of minigames are presented at a user interface for user selection. Each minigame is selected to include a portion of the video game that requires distinct set of input skills to progress in the video game. User selection of a minigame is detected and an executable code for the portion of the video game is instantiated for user practice of the distinct set of input skills. The input skills exhibited by the user during gameplay of the minigame is monitored to identify an amount of progress made in the portion of the video game. Updates are provided at the user interface for user interaction, based on the input skills exhibited by the user.

The autodetection module automatically detects at least one of a network, a television cable, and a plurality of inputs connected to the digital device, and populates a connections list in a second panel including the result of the automatic detection. The contextual help module displays at least one of texts, images and animations in a first panel that help the user understand the steps of the initial setup. The advertisement module displays advertisements in the first panel when the digital device is loading. The digital device may be loading at least when the autodetection module is automatically detecting or when the contextual help module is loading the at least one of texts, images and animations to be displayed.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide methods for use in providing information. These methods comprise: capturing, with one or more cameras of a display device, video along a first direction; detecting an object of interest that is captured in the video; obtaining additional information corresponding to the object of interest; determining an orientation of a user relative to a display of the display device, where the display is oriented opposite to the first direction; determining portions of each of the video images to be displayed based on the determined orientation of the user such that the portions of the video images are configured to appear to the user as though the display device were not positioned between the user and the object of interest; and displaying the portions of video images as they are captured and simultaneously displaying the additional information in cooperation with the object of interest.
