  • Publication number: 20070227995
Abstract: A davit assembly comprises a leg having an inner portion and an outer portion, a base, a support, and an arm. The inner portion has a first end and a second end, and the outer portion has a third end and a fourth end. The first end and the third end are secured to one another, and the inner portion extends partially along the length of the outer portion. The second end is proximate a middle portion of the outer portion. The base includes a cavity, and the first end and the third end are secured to the base. The bushing is incorporated into the cavity of the base. The support has a bottom end and a top end, the bottom end being rotatable within the bushing and connectable to the base. The arm is operatively connected to the top end of the support.

  • Publication number: 20070151805
Abstract: A self-retracting lifeline includes a common, central brake hub having teeth on opposing sides and a lifeline assembly on each side of the brake hub. The lifeline assemblies include centrifugal clutch assemblies with pawls. The pawls are configured and arranged to engage the teeth of the brake hub to stop the lifeline assemblies when there is a sudden acceleration or a high rate of speed at which the lifeline assemblies turn to pay-out lifeline which causes the pawls to pivot and engage the teeth. The self-retracting lifeline may be operatively connected to a safety harness with a connector interconnecting the bottom of the self-retracting lifeline and the straps of the safety harness proximate a dorsal pad assembly and straps interconnecting the housing of the self-retracting lifeline and the straps of the safety harness above the dorsal pad assembly. The lifelines of the self-retracting lifeline exit the housing proximate the top.

  • Publication number: 20060048723
Abstract: A shock absorbing device includes first and second straps, first and second connectors, and shoulder straps of a safety harness. The first strap has first and second connecting ends and an intermediate portion between the connecting ends. The second strap has first and second segments at one end and an interconnected portion extending toward an opposite end. The first segment is operatively connected to the first connecting end, and the second segment is operatively connected to the second connecting end. The first connector is operatively connected to the shoulder straps and to the first connecting end thereby interconnecting the safety harness and the first strap. The second connector is operatively connected to the second connecting end. The connectors are proximate the one end and the intermediate portion and the interconnected portion extend in a downward direction from the connectors.

  • Publication number: 20060048998
Abstract: A preferred embodiment suspension trauma relief strap assembly for use with a full body harness includes a pair of straps connectable in two configurations. The first configuration is formed by engaging a hook of one strap with one of a plurality of closed loop arrangements of the other strap to form a sling upon which a person donning the full body harness may stand. The second configuration is formed by engaging the hook of the one strap with one of the plurality of closed loop arrangements of the one strap and engaging the hook of the other strap with one of the plurality of closed loop arrangements of the other strap to form two slings upon which a person donning the full body harness may stand.

  • Publication number: 20050257446
Abstract: A reusable concrete anchor strap includes a strap having a first end, a second end, a middle portion, and an intermediate portion. The first end and the second end are proximate a connector end and the middle portion forms a first loop member proximate an anchor end. The intermediate portion is a first segment between the first end and the middle portion and a second segment between the second end and the middle portion. A securement member secures and interconnects the first segment and the second segment to form a second loop member thereby allowing for reuse of the strap when the first loop member is disconnected to create a second anchor end proximate the second loop member. The first loop member and the second loop member are configured and arranged to engage at least one anchor member of a concrete structure.
