  • Publication number: 20230355019
Abstract: A parcel box includes an external shell and upper and lower baffles. The external shell includes left and right side walls, a front wall, a rear wall, a base, a cover and a door. Each of the cover and the door are movable between closed and opened positions, respectively. When opened, the cover facilitates access by parcels through a top opening and into a storage area. When opened, the door facilitates removal of parcels from the storage area and through a bottom opening. The upper baffles are pivotally coupled to the front wall, independently movable about an upper common pivot axis between deployed positions and depressed positions, and independently spring-biased toward the deployed positions. The lower baffles are pivotally coupled to the rear wall, independently movable about a lower common pivot axis between deployed positions and depressed positions, and independently spring-biased toward the deployed positions.

  • Publication number: 20180094984
Abstract: A sensing system for bins includes a bin with at least one light emitting diode operatively mounted to the bin. At least one receiver for detecting IR light from the at least one light emitting diode is also operatively mounted to the bin. A microcontroller is operatively connected to the at least one light emitting diode and the at least one receiver. A wireless transmitter is operatively connected to the microcontroller for relaying information regarding the content status of the bin to an indicator. The at least one light emitting diode, the at least one receiver, the wireless transmitter, and the microcontroller are operatively connected to a power source.

  • Patent number: 9676518
Abstract: A hanging, stackable and nestable bin for storing parts and components used in assembly includes a pair of footers and a pair of footer depressions having a complimentary shape to one another. The hanging, stackable and nestable bin also includes a notch with a projection formed in the floor of the bin that extends transversely along the rear wall of the bin and a complimentary shaped upper rear wall rim. The footer, footer depressions, notch and upper rear wall rim provide three point stacking support when one bin is stacked onto another bin. In addition, the hanging, stackable and nestable bin includes sidewalls that are generally planar at the rear portion of the bin which aid in facilitating nesting of one bin into another bin. A cleat formed in the top rear wall of the bin provides rear hanging support for the bin.

  • Publication number: 20170050761
Abstract: The multiple cleat bin of the present invention includes a base, a front wall, two opposing sidewalls, and a substantially vertical rear wall having an upper rim. The rear wall includes a cleat near the upper rim of the rear wall and a second cleat formed at the base of the rear wall. A third cleat formed in the rear wall may also be included. A fourth cleat formed in the rear wall may also be included. Preferably, a forewall and kick out wall are included to form a stacking space such that a second may be placed within bin for increased packing density for shipping or storage. The additional cleats provide additional strength for bins manufactured of more economical or recycled polymers that tend to be softer or less rigid. The use of multiple cleats allows for improved strength and flexibility in use.

  • Publication number: 20160286985
Abstract: An inclined panel for mounting industrial bins that allows the bins to hang at an angle such that the interior of the bin is more easily accessible by production personnel is presented. The inclined panel has an upper edge and a lower edge; a plurality of louvers formed on the panel; a separation plate adjoining the upper edge of the panel; and a mounting surface. The panel may optionally incorporate a second mounting surface. Typically, the inclined panel relies upon the separation plate to space the panel away from vertical by an angle of 10°-25° and preferably by an angle of about 10°-15°. A rack system using such a panel is also presented. The rack system may also include one or more end caps at the ends of the panels. The rack system may incorporate a wheeled base or the panels may be mounted on a fixed wall.

  • Publication number: 20160229588
Abstract: The support clip for industrial bins includes at least one support on the clip and can be used to increase the hanging load of an industrial bin when hung. The supports may be in the form of ledges or cleats. The multi-support clip provides additional hanging strength for existing bins or allows flexibility to use bins manufactured of more economical or recycled polymers that tend to be softer or less rigid. The additional supports on the clip may also allow the bin to be hung in a sloped forward configuration. The use of multi-support clips allow for improved bin strength when hung and flexibility for placement and use of bins already in service. The support clip is manufactured by a process of metal extrusion, metal stamping, or metal die casting or polymer extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding, blow molding, and rotocasting.

  • Patent number: 5816980
Abstract: A playground assembly (10) includes a playhouse structure (11) having a plurality of walls (16, 17, 18, 19) and a tower structure (12) having a plurality of walls (29, 30, 31, 32). A tunnel member (15) may be selectively attached between appropriately configured playhouse walls (16, 17) and appropriately configured tower walls (29, 30, 31) by positioning its lug assemblies (91) through notches (92) formed in a selected window (20, 23, 33, 35, 36) and rotating the tunnel member (15) so that the notches (92) traverse ramped surfaces (95) and engage a stop surface (96). Playground assembly (10) also includes a slide (14) which may be selectively attached to appropriately configured playhouse and tower walls (19, 29, 31). To that end, windows (26, 34, 37) in the walls (19, 29, 31) are provided with lugs (109, 110) and the slide (14) is provided with channels (102, 103) which snap over the lugs (109, 110) to attach the slide (14) selectively to one of the walls (19, 29, 31).
