Publication number: 20250046421Abstract: Systems and methods may use a mobile device communicatively coupled to a wearable device to present an exercise to a user. The systems and methods may modify a therapy calendar, for example, based on information determined from the exercise (e.g., repetitions completed, a duration completed, video, etc.), feedback from the user, or the like. A method may include receiving a control command from a wearable device communicatively coupled to a mobile device, the control command causing an action to be taken by the mobile device related to the exercise. The therapy calendar may be automatically modified, such as in response to determining a number of repetitions or a duration of an exercise. The modified therapy calendar may be presented on a user interface, such as on a display of the wearable device or the mobile device.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2024Publication date: February 6, 2025Inventors: Ted Spooner, Richard Wells, Travis Dittmer, Timothy R. Price, Kshitij Agarwal

Patent number: 11176376Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying augmented reality clinical movements may use an augmented reality device to display aspects of a clinical movement. The systems and methods may use a motion capture device to capture the clinical movement. A method may include analyzing information about the clinical movement to determine a path of motion representative of at least a portion of the clinical movement. The method may automatically define a path region or a virtual target in an augmented reality environment overlaid on a real environment. The method may display the path region or the virtual target on an augmented reality display.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2020Date of Patent: November 16, 2021Assignee: Zimmer US, Inc.Inventors: Richard Wells, Timothy R. Price, Ted Spooner, Dave Van Andel, Travis Dittmer, John Kotwick, Jason Leighton

Publication number: 20180096111Abstract: Embodiments of a system and method for evaluating or predicting therapy adherence are generally described herein. A system may include a display and a processor connected to the display to provide a user interface, including a calendar with a plurality of activities of a protocol. The plurality of activities may include exercises, education, questionnaires, etc., which may be presented on particular days or at particular times. Patient adherence to the protocol may be determined, and the display may provide information related to the patient adherence to a clinician. The display may provide a prediction about future patient adherence. The processor may, based on a determination about future patient adherence or past patient adherence, automatically modify the protocol. After the protocol is modified, the calendar may be updated and the display may show the updated calendar.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 3, 2017Publication date: April 5, 2018Inventors: Richard Wells, Timothy R.
