  • Patent number: 10190493
Abstract: A method is provided for evaluating the delivery and effectiveness of engine performance chemicals and products for reducing intake valve deposits for gasoline direct injection and port fuel injection engines. The engine evaluation tool provides the ability to repeatedly quantify the relative improvements between engine performance and maintenance products through a series of tests in a controlled environment with parameters that simulate intake valve and combustion chamber conditions of an engine. Non-limiting examples of test engine parameters illustratively include air fuel ratio, intake air flow, temperature of sample, oscillation frequency, presentation angle of replaceable sample, and product delivery method that includes throttle body upstream, port vacuum in plenum, and by fuel injector.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 18, 2016
Date of Patent: January 29, 2019
    Assignee: Illinois Tool Works Inc.
Inventors: Travis Hill, Tsao-Chin Clarence Huang, Ronald L. Fausnight, Martin William Rosas

  • Publication number: 20090037975
Abstract: A system for authenticating content and methods for making and using same. The content authentication system advantageously facilitates recognition of known content, control over use of the known content, and knowledge accumulation regarding the use of known content for monetization models. The recognition of the suspect content preferably includes an analysis of known content recognition data associated with the known content and suspect content recognition data associated with the suspect content. A correlation between the known content recognition data and the suspect content recognition data is found, and the suspect content is analyzed in light of the correlation and known content rules associated with the known content. Thereby, the content authentication system can determine whether to approve action for the suspect content. The content authentication system enables selected known content information to be shared among known content right holders and hosting websites.

  • Publication number: 20060224677
Abstract: A system and method for detecting email fraud is disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, the system includes a collection module for collecting a plurality of bounced email messages originating from an injection source, and a source mining module for determining the location of the injection source. The bounced email messages include a fraudulent status indicator that can be detected to determine that the injection source is sending email messages intended to defraud the recipient users of the email. In another embodiment of the invention, the system for detecting email fraud includes a honeypot module for attracting email messages associated with an injection source, and a target module for determining the location of the target host, wherein the location of the target host is determined by examining the redirection mechanism.
