  • Publication number: 20230302620
Abstract: A power tool includes a main housing defining a handle, a spindle housing coupled to the main housing, and a drive mechanism positioned at least partially within the main housing and the spindle housing. The drive mechanism includes a motor having a motor shaft, a spindle having a first end and a second end defining a tool holder, the tool holder configured to receive a tool bit, and a coupler positioned between the motor shaft and the spindle for transmitting torque therebetween, the coupler having a recess defined therein. A spindle lock is coupled to the spindle housing, wherein the spindle lock is biased towards an unlocked position and movable toward a locked position in which the spindle lock is engaged with the recess to restrict rotation of the spindle and the motor shaft.

  • Publication number: 20230286192
Abstract: A cart for carrying a saw having a saw blade, a motor drivably coupled to the saw blade, a saw control unit to selectively activate the motor in response to a first input control signal from a trigger, and a first connector in communication with the saw control unit. The cart includes a remote actuation system having a cart control unit, a throttle configured to provide an input to the cart control unit, and a second connector configured to connect with the first connector of the saw. The cart also includes a wire interconnecting the cart control unit and the first connector. The wire configured to transmit a second input control signal from the cart control unit to the saw control unit upon receiving the input from the throttle, via the first and second connectors, to selectively activate and vary a rotational speed of the motor and the saw blade.

  • Publication number: 20220389726
Abstract: A concrete vibrator includes a housing, a handle, an electric motor, a flexible shaft, a vibrator head, and a battery pack. The handle extends from the housing. The electric motor is coupled to the housing. The flexible shaft has a first end coupled to the motor and an opposite, second end. The vibrator head is coupled to the second end of the shaft. The vibrator head is configured to receive torque from the motor and the shaft to cause the vibrator head to vibrate. The battery pack is coupled to a battery receptacle defined on the housing. The battery pack is configured to provide electric power to the electric motor to drive the motor and the shaft. The concrete vibrator is operable in a briefcase configuration in which the handle is used to carry the concrete vibrator with the housing supported in a horizontal orientation.

  • Publication number: 20220341198
Abstract: A concrete vibrator includes a housing, a strap, an electric motor, a flexible shaft, a vibrator head, and battery pack. The strap is removably coupled to the housing. The electric motor s coupled to the housing. The battery pack is configured to provide electric current to the electric motor to drive the motor and the shaft. The concrete vibrator is operable in a messenger bag configuration in which the strap is used to carry the concrete vibrator with the housing in a horizontal orientation.

  • Publication number: 20210252617
Abstract: A power tool is provided with a coating to distribute static electricity away from the surface of the handle of the tool. The tool includes a handle configured to be grasped by a user. The handle includes a surface and a first material having a first surface resistivity. The tool includes a coating covering at least a portion of the handle. The coating is configured to distribute static electricity away from the surface. The coating is made of a second material having a second surface resistivity less than the first surface resistivity.
