Patent number: 10080136Abstract: A mobile secure agent on a wireless device executes co-resident authenticated data collection profiles provisioned by private profile producers. Each wireless device has a MAC address that is transformed into a credibility token which is included in a notification to execute or update a data collection profile. The credibility token may also include attributes of location current or stored data. Each wireless device retains location history data transformed by encryption or by hashing. Each data package can only be transmitted to a collector certificated by the same private profile producer. Update profiles are signed and provisioned through a tunnel initiated from the mobile secure agent. A Certificate Authority provides libraries, anchors, and certificates in a key management message module to each mobile secure agent which enables revocation and replacement of certificates. Data stored in this way may only be transmitted to one destination per profile.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 2015Date of Patent: September 18, 2018Assignee: AT&T MOBILITY IP, LLCInventors: Bruce Blaine Lacey, R. Travis Jones

Patent number: 9046542Abstract: A bearing assembly for an anemometer configured to provide thrust and axial load protection and reduce exposure to potentially degradative debris and/or contaminants. The bearing assembly includes a first shaft and a second shaft and bearings, wherein the bearings are configured to rotate about at least the first shaft while enclosed within a portion of the second shaft. The second shaft is configured to isolate the bearings from any air flow through the anemometer and debris and/or contaminants carried therewith. The bearing assembly further includes a damping member configured to reduce forces imparted upon the bearings, thereby providing protection and preventing premature damage to the bearings from loads.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2013Date of Patent: June 2, 2015Assignee: NRG SYSTEMS, INC.Inventors: Emir Heco, Travis Jones, Carolyn Turk West, Henry Bush, R. Patent number: 6163679Abstract: A method for system acquisition for a subscriber unit (112) in a satellite communication system (100) maximizes life of a battery (320) of a battery-powered subscriber unit. A receiver (304) of the subscriber unit is energized only when ring bursts are expected from satellites in the system, serving to minimize consumption of battery power. During just two scans, the subscriber unit acquires enough information to enable it to identify the best beam for monitoring for a ring alert and to predict the nearby beams most likely to carry a ring alert targeted for the subscriber unit. From the received information, the subscriber unit can also perform necessary processes such as passive geolocation. The subscriber unit then enters a low-power standby mode, energizing the receiver only long enough to detect the best beam to scan for a ring alert targeted for the subscriber unit.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 1998Date of Patent: December 19, 2000Assignee: Motorola, Inc.Inventors: Bradley B Bakke, Daniel T. Buhmann, R. Travis Jones
