The guard may clip onto a ladder's side rail leading edge, and may be provided in a variety of lengths, including 12-inch pieces and 16-inch pieces. The ladder edge guard pieces are manufactured of thermoplastic, such as a flexible 80 durometer polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and have an asymmetrical design that can be manufactured in a variety of sizes to fit different ladder profiles.
