  • Patent number: 11438751
Abstract: A wakeboat has a hull, the hull forming a wake when moving forward in the water, with a left quiet region and a right quiet region in the wake. The hull may exhibit rotation around one or more of its roll, pitch, and yaw axes which affects the quiet regions in the wake. A gyroscope supported in the hull may be used to rotate the hull around one or more axes. Such rotation may be used to create a surf left and/or surf right configuration, and measured via one or more sensors. Other systems and methods are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11023324
Abstract: Harmonization of failure domains in a distributed system is provided herein. A data storage system as described herein can include a memory that stores computer executable components and a processor that executes computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can include a node assignment component that assigns computing nodes in the data storage system to respective failure domains of a set of data failure domains, a hashing component that generates hashing information associated with respective computing nodes of the computing nodes assigned to a selected failure domain of the set of failure domains, and a group update component that designates at least one computing node of the computing nodes in the selected data failure domain to perform an operation associated with the hashing information.

  • Patent number: 10479461
Abstract: A wakeboat has a hull, the hull forming a wake when moving forward in the water, with a left quiet region and a right quiet region in the wake. The hull may exhibit rotation around its yaw axis which affects the quiet regions in the wake. Yaw rotation may be measured via one or more sensors. Yaw measurement may be used to control the hull and quiet regions. A trim tab is supported by the hull at the stern of the hull. The trim tab comprises a primary subtab and a secondary subtab. One or more actuators may be optionally included to reposition the trim tab more into, or more out of, the water to create a surf left and/or surf right configuration. Other systems and methods are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10040522
Abstract: A wakeboat has a hull, the hull forming a wake when moving forward in the water, with a port disturbance and a starboard disturbance in the wake. Left (port) and right (starboard) trim tabs are installed at the stern of the hull. Each trim tab comprises a primary subtab and a secondary subtab. Actuators may be optionally included to reposition the trim tabs more into, or more out of, the water. Such repositioning causes the disturbance on one side of the wake to be selectively repositioned to the other side of the wake, enlarging a quiet region on the side of the wake on which the repositioned disturbance was originally positioned. Other systems and methods are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20150250512
Abstract: A pedicle screw assembly includes an elongated bone screw having an enlarged ball end. First and second seats are disposed on opposite sides of the ball end so that the ball is received between and seated within the first and second seats. An annular wave spring resiliently biases the first seat toward the second seat so as to provide a pre-clamping frictional engagement between the seats and the ball end to hold the seats in a selected position relative to the ball end.

  • Publication number: 20150250521
Abstract: A driver apparatus for a pedicle screw assembly includes a release shaft rotatably mounted in a driver housing. A lower end of the driver housing is configured to be received in a slot in the upper end of a connector housing of a pedicle screw assembly. The release shaft has a thread on its lower end which can be made up or unmade from threaded engagement with the internal threads of the connector housing of the pedicle screw assembly so as to connect or disconnect the driver apparatus from the pedicle screw assembly.

  • Publication number: 20150245859
Abstract: A cervical plate apparatus includes a cervical plate body having a plurality of screw receiving passages defined therethrough. Received about each of the passages is a zero-step locking member which is operatively associated with the passage and configured to automatically lock the head of the screw in place within the passage when the screw is seated within the passage to attach the cervical plate to the cervical vertebrae. The locking member is selectively movable to an unlocked position. A retention structure is configured to retain the locking member in either the unlocked or locked position without further engagement of the locking member by a surgeon, so that when the locking member has been moved to the unlocked position, it is held in that position so that the surgeon can then remove the screw or screws without having to simultaneously hold the locking member in a retracted position.
