Abstract: A head rest for a seat assembly includes a rotation mechanism that allows the head rest to rotate with respect to the seat assembly. The rotation mechanism may allow the head rest to incline when in a raised position to provide clearance for an occupant seated in the seat assembly. The rotation mechanism also may allow the head rest to rotate outward from the seat assembly when in a lowered position to displace the occupant with respect to the seat assembly.

Abstract: A headrest removal assembly may include a removal device that is operable by an engagement surface to permit removal of a headrest assembly from a seat. The headrest removal assembly may also include a cap that covers the engagement surface to prevent access to the engagement surface and to prevent removal of the headrest assembly. The cap may be moveable with respect to the removal device to uncover the engagement surface to provide access to the engagement surface and to permit removal of the headrest assembly.
