  • Publication number: 20200137983
Abstract: A tag device for placement on a livestock animal can generally include a first communications interface, a second communications interface, one or more batteries, and a local controller. A base station can be configured for bidirectional communications with a plurality of mobile communication units, which may be mobile tag devices (e.g., being made mobile by being carried by a corresponding livestock animal). A low-frequency emitting system for identifying a feed lot feature can generally include at least one wire loop and a wire driver coupled to the wire loop. The wire loop can be physically associated with or positioned adjacent to the feed lot feature. A data silo may generally include a transceiver, a memory, and a processor. The transceiver is configured to receive a plurality of historical data sets pertaining to respective livestock animals from a base station.

  • Publication number: 20180371455
Abstract: This disclosure relates to intersecting double stranded nucleic acid helices with flexible intersections that form antijuction units. In a typical embodiment, the configuration of the intersecting double stranded nucleic acid helices can be altered by hybridization with an added single stranded segment or trigger strand reconfiguring the conformation of the array in a directional manor. In certain embodiments, the dynamic antijunction unit contains four nucleic double-helix domains, typically of approximately equal length and four dynamic nicking or intersecting flex points providing an array with the capability of switching between two or more stable conformations, e.g., through an intermediate open conformation.

  • Patent number: 9759416
Abstract: A luminaire has a housing plate on which a circuit board rests. The circuit board has light sources for generating light and circuit board bosses. A lens is biased toward the circuit board and contacts a distal end of the circuit board bosses to press the circuit board against the housing plate.

  • Patent number: 9441796
Abstract: A luminaire may include an input connection that receives AC line voltage, one or more chains of LEDs, and one or more drivers for driving each chain of LEDs, all within a housing, which may be in the form of a canopy. Each chain of LEDs may contain at least 36 LEDs connected in series. Each LED may have a power rating of no more than 1 watt and may be oriented to direct light outside of the housing when illuminated. Each driver may receive power that is extracted from AC line voltage connected to the input connection and provide one or more outputs that drive at least one of the chains of LEDs.

  • Patent number: 9424737
Abstract: A system and method for managing a response to an alarm event for an alarm system monitoring a premises are provided. The premises is associated with at least one user device. The system includes a monitoring device including a processor programmed to: determine whether an alarm event has triggered at the premises, determine whether a user response message associated with the at least one user device has been received, and in response to receiving the user response message, cause an indicator at a remote monitoring center to indicate whether the user wants at least one response action.

  • Patent number: 8479813
Abstract: Methods to enhance biogenic gas production in an anaerobic geologic formation containing carbonaceous material may include the steps of accessing the anaerobic formation, increasing a rate of production of the biogenic gases in the anaerobic formation, and flowing formation water within the anaerobic formation after the increase in the production of biogenic gases. Methods to redistribute formation water in an anaerobic geologic formation containing carbonaceous material may include the steps of locating a reservoir of the formation water within the anaerobic formation, forming at least one channel between the reservoir and at least a portion of the carbonaceous material, and transporting the formation water from the reservoir to the carbonaceous material through the channel. The methods may also include the accumulation of biogenic gas in an anaerobic geologic formation to enhance biogenic gas production.

  • Publication number: 20110139439
Abstract: Methods to enhance biogenic gas production in an anaerobic geologic formation containing carbonaceous material are described. The methods may include the steps of accessing the anaerobic formation, increasing a rate of production of the biogenic gases in the anaerobic formation, and flowing formation water within the anaerobic formation after the increase in the production of biogenic gases. Also described are methods to redistribute formation water in an anaerobic geologic formation containing carbonaceous material. The methods may include the steps of locating a reservoir of the formation water within the anaerobic formation, forming at least one channel between the reservoir and at least a portion of the carbonaceous material, and transporting the formation water from the reservoir to the carbonaceous material through the channel. Further described are methods of accumulating biogenic gas in an anaerobic geologic formation to enhance biogenic gas production.
