  • Publication number: 20230242772
Abstract: The present invention relates to a retroreflective powder coating composition that includes: (a) a binder including a film-forming resin; and (b) a plurality of particles in which at least a portion of the particles include particles at least partially coated with a metallic material. The coating composition has a glass plate flow of 40 mm or less before addition of the plurality of particles, and/or at least portion of the particles are further coated with an additional material that lowers a surface energy of the particles. A method of forming a coating is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220348786
Abstract: A powder coating composition can include: a polyester polymer having carboxylic acid functional groups; a first crosslinker reactive with the carboxylic acid functional groups of the polyester polymer; and a fluoropolymer unreactive with the polyester polymer and first crosslinker. A weight ratio of the polyester polymer to the fluoropolymer is from 80:20 to 60:40. When cured, the powder coating composition forms a single coating layer including the polyester polymer and the fluoropolymer.

  • Patent number: 11058960
Abstract: An interactive modular sensor system for an indoor skydiving wind tunnel. The system comprises a plurality of nodes arranged around the flight chamber of the wind tunnel. The nodes have at least one sensor and at least one light source. The sensors are configured to detect user movement within the flight chamber. The light sources are configured to change appearance between at least two indicator states. A network connects the plurality of nodes. A program coordinates the activity of the nodes, whereby each of the nodes may be individually controlled. The program may include various modes with different user objectives and rules. Users are directed to perform or not perform actions by the light source indicator states of each node, and the sensor monitors for the occurrence of such actions. Information from multiple systems may be compiled in an inter-tunnel system. Other aspects of the system are also described.

  • Patent number: 10401202
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling the flow of a gas, containing a controllable valve, wherein the position of the valve and the gas pressure upstream of the valve are measured and used in conjunction with a first lookup table to determine the flow rate of the gas through the valve; and a flow restrictor upstream of the controllable valve, wherein the temperature of the flow restrictor and the gas pressure upstream and downstream of the flow restrictor are measured and used in conjunction with a second lookup table to determine the flow rate of the gas through the flow restrictor.

  • Publication number: 20170046954
Abstract: The yielding stop sign will incorporate the use of the flashing yellow (amber) light that will indicate to drivers that it is okay to proceed through a stop sign without having to stop. Similar to existing traffic lights, the yielding stop sign will incorporate already existing laws regarding the flashing yellow traffic light and allow drivers to proceed on their route with caution at night.
