The computer selects a first set of one or more available owned licenses, each license of said first set involving the least waste in terms of covering non-desired products. The computer selects a second set of one or more of licenses from said first set, each license of said second set providing most coverage in terms of covering desired software products. The computer applies a license of said second set to said managed system.
