  • Patent number: 6405470
Abstract: A firearm safety lock including a firearm slide with a bore formed therein, a firing pin disposed in the bore, an aperture formed in the slide, a locking element formed on the firing pin and being disposed adjacent the aperture, a locking pin adaptable for insertion into the aperture where inward movement thereof causes it to come into contact with the locking element thereby restricting movement of the firing pin.

  • Patent number: 6116137
Abstract: An automatic handgun has a support member fixed to the end of the barrel and engageable with the slide when the slide moves forward. The mating surfaces of the support member and the slide have clutch surfaces machined into them so the two surfaces lock together snugly, thereby holding the barrel and slide together accurately. A guide rod may also be fixed to the support member to assist in holding the proper relationship when the slide is moved rearwardly.

  • Patent number: 4418487
Abstract: A gunsight mount for mounting a scope-type sight to an automatic handgun, such as a .45 automatic, has a housing including a channel for receiving the barrel and slide of the gun. The housing has an opening at the bottom, at the end most adjacent to the handle of the gun, for providing a clearance for the trigger guard. A protuberance is disposed at the bottom adjacent the slot and includes an adjustable stop member. The housing is supported on a mounting pin passing through the sides of the housing and through the slide stop pin bore of the gun. An elevational adjustment screw extends into the channel from the bottom of the housing for rigidly securing the mount to the gun while providing elevational adjustability. The scope-type sight may be fastened to the top of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4244114
Abstract: A target sight for handguns includes a rear notched rib sight and a stepped front ramp sight together on a platform. The ramp includes a series of steps extending from the front of the sight platform rearwardly to adjacent the rear sight. The platform is mounted on a base member which is secured to the gun. The mounting of the platform on the base includes a pivotable mounting so that the platform may be adjusted vertically and laterally relatively to the base and the gun.
