  • Patent number: 11463318
Abstract: Example implementations relate to calculating a weighted efficiency index. An example implementation includes fetching a public resource utilization metric and a public cloud resources cost. A private resource utilization metric is collected and a private cloud resources cost is calculated. A weighted efficiency index is calculated from the public cloud resources cost, the private cloud resources cost, or any combination thereof, and a weighted deviation from an ideal resource utilization percentage. The weighted efficiency index may be displayed on a user interface.

  • Publication number: 20220200998
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to an authentication management system and a method for managing authentication of a user between an enterprise-level authentication protocol and a cloud-native authentication protocol. The authentication management system may receive an authentication request from an application hosted on a private on-premise network to authenticate a user using the enterprise-level authentication protocol. The authentication request is generated by the application upon receiving an access request from the user via a software as-a-service (SaaS) cloud platform in a cloud-native authentication protocol. Further, the authentication management system may generate an authentication response compliant with the enterprise-level authentication protocol based on an authentication reply that is formatted in compliance to the cloud-native authentication protocol and received from a cloud-native identity and authentication management system based on the authentication request.

  • Publication number: 20160350420
Abstract: In one implementation, a system for providing resource information can comprise a spider engine, a discovery engine, an ontology engine, and a publication engine. The spider engine can crawl a resource provider. The discovery engine can discover a resource of a resource provider. The ontology engine can map the resource to an ontology term. The publication engine can provide the ontology term as part of a resource directory. In another implementation, a method for providing resource information can comprise configuring a crawler with an ontology and an interface associated with a resource provider, crawling a network of storage mechanisms, mapping a resource of the network of storage mechanisms to the ontology, and providing a directory of available resources.
