  • Patent number: 12100306
Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to efficient computer-storage and computer-rendering of obstacle data in the computer-generated map view. In one example, one or more vector tiles collectively representing a geographic region are received. Each of the one or more vector tiles represents a sub-region of the geographic region. Obstacle data for one or more obstacles in the geographic region is received. The obstacle data defines a location of each of the one or more obstacles in relation to a local origin of the vector tile representing the sub-region where the obstacle is geographically located. A map view is rendered for visual presentation via a display. The map view includes the geographic region represented by the one or more vector tiles and indicating the one or more obstacles.

  • Patent number: 11275718
Abstract: A mobile flight application obtains, via a network, a content pack having aeronautical files, and determines a set of waypoints in the content pack from the aeronautical files in the content pack. In a geolocation mapping structure, a waypoint is related with a matching subset of the aeronautical files in the content pack. Integrated into the corresponding sections of a user interface of the mobile flight application.

  • Publication number: 20210056855
Abstract: Processing military training routes (MTRs) includes obtaining an MTR database. The MTR database includes, for a multitude of MTRs, points for each of the multitude of MTRs, and links between the points. The processing of the MTRs further includes obtaining a user input including a selection of an MTR of the multitude of MTRs, recursively processing the selected MTR by following the links between the points associated with the selected MTR until a sequence of consecutive points between an entry point and an exit point is found, and visualizing the selected MTR.

In a geolocation mapping structure, a waypoint is related with a matching subset of the aeronautical files in the content pack. Integrated into the corresponding sections of a user interface of the mobile flight application, the content pack is presented while maintaining inseparability of the files in the mobile flight application.

  • Patent number: 10896619
Abstract: Position reporting and navigating using a bullseye in an integrated flight application includes obtaining bullseye coordinates in a map reference frame. The map reference frame is associated with a map of the integrated flight application. Position reporting and navigating using a bullseye in an integrated flight application further includes determining current location coordinates in the map reference frame, rendering the map with the bullseye and a current location indicator superimposed on the map, using the bullseye coordinates and the current location coordinates in the map reference frame, determining the current location coordinates in a bullseye reference frame, and reporting the current location in the bullseye reference frame.
