  • Patent number: 9804576
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a method for performing industrial automation control may include detecting, via a sensor system, positions and/or motions of a human in an industrial automation system, determining at least one derivative value from the detected positions and/or motions, and determining a possible automation command and an undesirable condition based upon the detected positions and/or motions and the at least one derivative value. The method may then include implementing a control and/or notification action based upon the determined possible automation command and the undesired condition.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 27, 2013
Date of Patent: October 31, 2017
    Assignee: ROCKWELL AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
Inventors: Steven J. Scott, Thong T. Nguyen, David A. Vasko, Marco Wishart, Travis Tidwell

  • Publication number: 20080191935
Abstract: An apparatus for selecting a satellite navigation system module includes a communication interface element and a selecting element. The communication interface element is configured to receive a first positioning message from a first satellite navigation system module, and to receive a second positioning message from a second satellite navigation system module. The selecting element is configured to compare a descriptive characteristic of the first and second positioning messages, and to select the positioning message having a preferred descriptive characteristic.

  • Publication number: 20080195242
Abstract: An apparatus for configuring a gauge includes a gauge building element and a gauge driver. The gauge building element may be configured to receive user selection of one or more characteristics of a gauge at least partially defining at least one of a gauge skin or a indicator skin of the gauge display. The gauge display may include a gauge body and an indicator configured to display a measured operational parameter on the gauge body. The gauge skin defining an appearance of the gauge body, and the indicator skin defining an appearance of the gauge indicator. The gauge driver may be configured to generate a display of the gauge having the at least one of the gauge skin or the indicator skin including the user-selected characteristics defining the at least one of the gauge skin or the indicator skin.
