  • Publication number: 20160155091
Abstract: In various implementations, a first computing device (such as cloud-based server) transmits instructions to a second computing device (such as a notebook computer, tablet computer, or smartphone). The instructions are usable by the second computing device to render at least a first portion of the document on a display. The first computing device receives an asset identifier and a user comment from the second computing device. The asset identifier uniquely identifies a discrete subset of user content within the document (such as particular paragraph, a table, or a cell within a table). The first computing device stores the comment (e.g., in a cloud-based database) in a data entity that is separate from a data entity in which the user content identified by the asset identifier is stored and associates the comment with the asset using the asset identifier.

  • Patent number: 7796152
Abstract: An apparatus and a system, as well as a method and an article, may include receiving a plurality of left eye rays through a first plurality of separating facets of a lens at an image acquisition plane, and receiving a plurality of right eye rays through a second plurality of separating facets of the lens at the image acquisition plane. Data acquired from the image plane may be used to construct a stereoscopic image, including a moving, panoramic stereoscopic image. Lenses, image capture devices, and projectors may be implemented that operate using multiple viewpoints.

  • Publication number: 20060256113
Abstract: Apparatus and systems, as well as methods and articles, may operate to store portions of a spherical image in a storage medium as a pair of triangles included in a convex quadrilateral. The triangles may form a portion of one or more substantially uniformly tessellated spherical surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6947059
Abstract: An imaging system comprising a plurality of first image capture devices. Overlapping rectilinear images are captured and halved, with the left halves being stitched and transformed into a first equirectangular image and the right halves being stitched and transformed into a second equirectangular image. The first equirectangular image, and second equirectangular image are displayed in a stereoscopic orientation to produce a stereoscopic equirectangular image. The imaging system may be utilized to capture a plurality of sequential images, to produce a full-motion stereoscopic equirectangular image.
