  • Patent number: 12265701
Abstract: The force sensing dome switch is configured to simultaneously, or nearly simultaneously, close or open two separate circuits. For one of these circuits, the force sensing dome switch acts as a variable resistor whose value is controlled by applied force. Each force sensing dome switch is disposed upon a printed circuit board (PCB) comprising two separate circuits. An example force sensing dome switch comprises: a conductive dome in conductive contact with a first trace of a first circuit, the conductive dome is configured to make conductive contact with a second trace of the first circuit when pressed down; and a force-sensing resistor element positioned between the PCB and the conductive dome, the force-sensing resistor element overlays a pair of traces of a second circuit and is configured to conductively connect the pair of traces when pressed against the PCB by the conductive dome. The force-sensing resistor element is a layer of material whose resistance changes when force is applied.

  • Patent number: 12223000
Abstract: The data shaping system comprises a computer implemented algorithm that uses modifiers (e.g., time available to study, educational attainment of the user, etc.) to shape data retrieved from one or more datasets for consumption by a user. A dataset may comprise text, images, video, audio, or a combination thereof. The data shaping system is configured to curate data, retrieved from selected datasets, using modifiers to shape (or assemble) an output document that is presented to the user for review. In this way, the user is provided with a curated subset of data, which is an assemblage of information about two or more topics of interest and how the two or more topics of interest are related, that has been tailored to their needs. In some implementations, the output document may be text, one or more images, audio, video, or a combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 12179061
Abstract: Disclosed are implementations of a sensor enabled exercise slider configured to detect movement and applied force. A sensor enabled exercise slider is a limb-actuated, linearly and circularly moveable, apparatus configured to facilitate a variety of exercises. An example limb-actuated exercise slider comprises: a housing that is smoothly slidable across a contacted surface in contact with an undersurface of the housing; and an electronic circuit carried by the housing. The electronic circuit is configured to detect movement of the housing and to detect force applied to a top surface of the housing. In some implementations, the undersurface in contact with the contacted surface has a friction coefficient permitting the sliding.

  • Publication number: 20240421533
Abstract: A tailcap assembly for a portable electronic device, such as a flashlight, and a complementary plug. The tailcap assembly includes a USB Type-C receptacle that allows other devices, such as a remote switch, to be connected. In some implementations, the USB Type-C receptacle is used to facilitate the delivery of power and/or the transmission of data to the portable electronic device. An example tailcap assembly comprises a USB Type-C receptacle accessible through an opening in the tailcap assembly. The opening is configured to receive and detachably retain a complementary plug inserted into the USB Type-C receptacle. The opening includes two contoured edges positioned opposite each other, between which a portion of the complementary plug is positioned when connected to the USB Type-C receptacle.

  • Patent number: 12140403
Abstract: Disclosed is an optical sight mount with an integrated aiming and illumination module. The optical sight mount is configured to position an optical sighting device (e.g., a reflex sight) on a firearm so that the optical sighting device can be used to aim the firearm at a target. The aiming and illumination module, also referred to as an optical module, includes an aiming laser and an illumination source. An example optical sight mount comprises a base configured for attachment to a firearm, a mounting interface configured so that an optical sighting device can be attached thereto, and an optical module configured to emit a type of aiming radiation and illumination radiation. The optical module is positioned between the base and the mounting interface of the optical sight mount.

  • Patent number: 12135190
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a pivot mount for an optical aiming device. The pivot mount can be attached to an accessory rail, such as a MIL-STD-1913 rail, extending along the top of a receiver or handguard of a firearm. The pivot mount allows an attached optical aiming device to be pivoted between a use position and a storage position. The pivot mount is configured to ensure that the optical aiming device returns to zero, within a ΒΌ milliradian in some implementations, after being pivoted between the use position and the storage position.

  • Publication number: 20240343454
Abstract: Disclosed is an insert configured to cover and provide access to the internal storage compartment of an insulating container, such as a cooler. The insert effectively minimizes thermal exchange between the internal storage compartment and the surrounding environment, while still providing for ready access to items stored in the insulating container. An example insert comprises an insulating panel and a frame configured to support and position the insulating panel over an internal storage compartment of an insulting container. The insulating panel includes one or more self-sealing openings through which items stored within the internal storage compartment of the insulating container can be extracted. Each of the one or more self-sealing openings is configured to stretch for access during use and to contract when not in use.

  • Publication number: 20240241361
Abstract: Disclosed is a bridge assembly for a monocular optical device. The bridge assembly allows for an attached optical device to be positioned in front of either the user's left or right eye. This repositioning of the optical device is achieved by laterally sliding the adapter plate, which connects the optical device to the bridge assembly, to align the eyepiece of the optical device with the desired eye. In some implementations, the ridge assembly is configured to enable the user to adjust the pupillary distance of the optical device.
