Patent number: 9613546Abstract: A system for managing and presenting geolocation data. The system includes a plurality of electronic devices and a server in data communication with a plurality of electronic devices. The server has a processor that is configured to receive requests from an electronic device for a map including a feature of interest and the feature having associated location information therewith. The location information is indicative of a geographic location of the feature and comprises information indicative of a precision of the geographic location. The processor provides a precise icon and an imprecise icon for representing a feature on a map, each having a constant size. The processor is also configured to determine whether to use the precise icon or the imprecise icon to represent the feature on the map based upon information indicative of a scale of the map and the precision of the location information associated with the feature.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2013Date of Patent: April 4, 2017Inventor: Trenton Gary Coroy

Patent number: 9124958Abstract: Various architectures for implementing multi-band reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexing with converged signal addition and removal are provided. Under the described architectures, channel isolation is improved, performance requirements for switching elements are lower, and it may be possible to reduce the number of line side switching elements by a factor of two. The use of additional spectrum per fiber with the described architectures results in fewer required ports per switching element. The degree of contention at signal addition and removal is also reduced. Moreover, the architectures support optical networks with higher capacities per fiber and therefore conserve fiber assets. The architectures are modular in nature, allowing a network to be deployed in a single-band setting and later upgraded to support multiple bands.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2012Date of Patent: September 1, 2015Assignee: EMPIRE TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT LLCInventor: Trenton Gary Coroy

Publication number: 20140172917Abstract: Systems and methods for managing and regulating communications over a social network are disclosed. A first member of the social network may have profile information comprising various information types each having an associated privacy level. A particular information type may be accessed by a recipient if they are assigned a direct permission level satisfying the privacy level of the particular information type. According to one method, the system determines whether a communication has been sent from the first member to the recipient, and automatically assigns the direct permission level to the recipient for accessing the first member's profile information.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2013Publication date: June 19, 2014Inventor: Trenton Gary Coroy

Patent number: 7697121Abstract: The sensing system includes a plurality of modulators that are each configured to modulate a different light signal. The sensing system also includes optical pathways that transport the modulated light signals to one or more wavelength reflectors. Each wavelength reflector is configured to reflect a portion of the modulated light signals at a characteristic wavelength that is a function of an influence external to the wavelength reflector. The sensing system also includes a light sensor configured to receive the reflected light signals and to output a modulated electrical signal that is a function of the power of each of the reflected light signals. The sensing system can also include electronics configured to employ the modulated electrical signal so as to determine one or more results selected from a group consisting of: the characteristic wavelength of one or more of the wavelength reflectors and a level of the external influence on one or more of the wavelength reflectors.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2005Date of Patent: April 13, 2010Assignee: Kotura, Inc.Inventors: Trenton Gary Coroy, Bernard Thomas Smith
