  • Patent number: 11894143
Abstract: The invention relates generally to a system and method for integrating pet health records, and more specifically to an integrated pet health record that is configured to collect, store, maintain, analyze, and provide recommendations about a pet's health from a variety of sources. The system may analyze health conditions for a pet on both an individual basis and in regards to a global population. This analysis provides an assessment of the pet based on pet type, breed, age, weight, geographic location, living conditions, diet, exercise, and more. The system may also generate global statistics, providing various metrics that can be applied to sub-populations of pets. Advantageously, the system is configured to categorize causes and symptoms based on the pet's health conditions and how treatments can be refined to improve outcomes, and transmit that information to a client device.

  • Patent number: 11894144
Abstract: The invention relates generally to a system and method for animal health decision support, and more specifically to a non-human animal health decision support system that is configured to collect animal information, determine a health topic, and transmit a question set corresponding to the health topic. The system may analyze answers associated with the question set to determine a course of action. The course of action may be a recommendation, such as contacting a veterinarian, obtaining a relevant product, making an appointment with a veterinarian, watching for change in symptoms in the non-human animal, and transporting the non-human animal to a clinic. Advantageously, the system is configured to provide decision support and transmit that information to a client device.

  • Publication number: 20210327587
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the administration of testosterone replacement therapy, and more particularly to a system and methods for monitoring and analyzing testosterone levels of a patient for dynamically controlling and/or managing delivery of testosterone. The system may include an implantable medical device including a pumping mechanism operatively coupled to an analyte sensor. The analyte sensor may collect a patient's testosterone levels and communicate that information to the pumping mechanism. Based on the information collected by the analyte sensor, the pumping mechanism may deliver one or more testosterone replacement drug therapies to the patient. Advantageously, the system may automatically regulate the delivery of said one or more testosterone replacement drug therapies based on a testosterone level of the patient, while minimizing patient oversight of the administration process and reducing discomfort.

  • Patent number: 10629304
Abstract: A decision support system is described that solves various technical problems associated with prior systems. The system may include a thin client application that downloads question sets from a server. The question sets may include a series of interlinked questions and answers as well as scores associated with the answers. Scores of selected answers may be tallied and a decision corresponding to the cumulative score of the selected answers may be provided to a user. As a result, the system may enable the ability to update (add, revise or delete) questions, answers and question lines without needing to recompile and redistribute the client application. In addition, the transmission of a complete question set reduces overall network traffic and technical problems arising from network disruptions among other technical benefits.

  • Publication number: 20150066520
Abstract: A method for standardizing pet health care decision support may include the steps of: displaying a portal to a user for input of a pet health care query; receiving the query; analyzing the query to determine which one of a plurality of decision trees to present to the user; presenting queries contained within the determined decision tree to the user; receiving responses for each query; storing the responses in the database; and analyzing the responses and presenting the user with a predetermined course of action. Each decision tree preferably is standardized for a plurality of users, i.e., each user that provides the same information at each node should be taken along the same branch and reach the same ultimate result. In addition to determining the next query to pose to a user, data provided by the user may be saved and used to generate a standardized, customized health record summary.

  • Patent number: 7292121
Abstract: Two or more reflective isolator elements are joined at their outputs to produce an RF combining structure. An RF circulator element is used for each input RF signal as a reflective isolator element to provide a different phase delay according to the direction of propagation of the RF wave. The output of the reflective isolator elements thus exhibits a high output impedance, when looking into the RF output port, preventing back propagation of signals from one input port to another.

  • Patent number: 7070656
Abstract: The invention provides apparatus for electrostatically coating a pharmaceutical tablet core with powdered coating material. The apparatus comprises a first rotary drum (12) on which a core is held in electrical isolation from its surroundings but at a potential differecne to earth by an electrode which contacts the core. The core is carried past a coating station B at which particles of powder having an opposite potential difference to earth are held in a tray (18). The surface of the drum is held at the same potential difference to earth as the powder particles. The powder is attracted to the core, and not to the drum, coating the exposed surface of the core. The drum carries the coated core past a fusing station C at which a heater fuses the powder to form a continuous film coating. The core is then turned and transferred onto a second drum (12?) where the other surface is coated in the same way.

  • Patent number: 7008668
Abstract: An apparatus and method for locking a gun. The apparatus includes a dummy round configured for insertion into a firing chamber of a gun, a locking component configured for coupling with the dummy round, and an elongated sleeve rotatably coupled with the locking component. The locking component includes a keyed head positioned within a longitudinal channel of the elongated sleeve. The locking component and elongated sleeve are insertable through the discharge end of a gun's barrel. An actuating mechanism, such as a key is insertable through the channel of the elongated sleeve to engage with the keyed head and rotate the locking mechanism relative to the elongated sleeve. Rotation of the locking mechanism effects a friction lock between the locking mechanism and the dummy round.
