  • Publication number: 20240316563
Abstract: A limited well thermal cycling device for sample preparation and real-time fluorescence detection is described. The limited well thermal cycling device includes a heating block having a sample well and at least one reaction well and an optical block including a corresponding means for measuring real time fluorescence in each reaction well. The limited well thermal cycling device includes a means for efficient heating and cooling of reaction and sample wells for real-time fluorescence detection. The structure of the heating block provides the means for efficient heating and cooling by having each of the sample well and at least one reaction wells rising above the heating block base, such that the sample well and at least one reaction well are not surrounded by the metal heating block.

  • Patent number: 11960387
Abstract: A sample ratio mismatch (SRM) analyzer receives data from an online controlled experiment (OCE) and provides information to help determine a root cause of an SRM. The SRM analyzer may identify one or more segments in the data that include an SRM and may determine whether a triggered scorecard of the OCE includes an SRM. The data may include one or more scorecards. The SRM analyzer may determine whether each scorecard has an SRM. The SRM analyzer may test a difference in proportion of users assigned to treatment between a last scorecard without an SRM and a first scorecard with an SRM. If the difference in proportion is statistically meaningful, the SRM analyzer may determine that the SRM arose after the last scorecard. If the difference in proportions is not statistically meaningful, the SRM analyzer may determine that the SRM existed from a beginning of the OCE.

  • Publication number: 20230251168
Abstract: A biological sample collection system and dispensing system is described. The biological sample collection system provides for collection and processing of a biological sample (i.e. bodily fluids collected from nose, throat, or other mucosal membrane of an animal or human). The biological sample collection system includes a sample collector and a collection tube. The sample collector provides a structure for sealing the biological sample in the collection tube for further processing without opening the collection tube, and may provide a structure for collecting the biological sample. When the sample collector and collection tube are removably attached the dispensing system is formed. The dispensing system provides for further processing of the biological sample without opening the collection tube (i.e. without un-securing or removing the plug from the collection tube). The dispensing system further provides dispensing of the processed biological sample without opening the collection tube).

  • Publication number: 20230082129
Abstract: A process for separating a fusion mix sample comprising a slag material and a collector material using a separator. The separator comprising a plurality of impact members configured to rotate. The process comprising the steps of providing a solid fusion mix sample and loading the solid sample into the separator. Dislodging the slag material from the solid fusion mix sample by rotating the impact members and contacting the rotating impact members and the solid fusion mix sample. Separating into a first fraction substantially comprising the collector material and a second fraction substantially comprising slag material.

  • Publication number: 20220392357
Abstract: Methods and systems to develop routes for an aircraft to travel through an airspace. The system includes interface circuitry to receive one or more objectives and one or more constraints for the routes. Processing circuitry is configured to optimize the routes based on one or more of the input parameters. The processing circuitry is configured to: generate a set of routes that each comprise a different flight path through the airspace; rank the routes in the set based on how each of the routes dominates the other routes based on the one or more objectives and constraints; maintain dominant routes in the set and eliminate dominated routes from the set based on the rankings; generate additional dominant routes based on the one or more objectives and constraints; and supplement the set with the additional dominant routes.

  • Publication number: 20090214341
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a novel apparatus for the movement of air. Specifically, the apparatus is an axial fan assembly which is rotatable about a horizontal axis to orient the axial fan in a vertical position, a horizontal position, or positions in between. The axial fan can be adjusted and selectively fixed in a particular orientation. The height of the axial fan is also adjustable. The vertical support member comprises a telescoping mechanism whereby the length of the vertical support member is adjustable and can be selectively fixed at a particular length.
