  • Patent number: 10789657
Abstract: A tangible, non-transitory computer readable medium includes computer instructions stored thereon, the computer instructions, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to retrieve model inputs indicative of mechanical systems data, economic data, contractual data, regulatory data, or any combination thereof, associated with at least one compression system. Furthermore, the instructions cause the processor to retrieve a model that derives an operation schedule for the at least one compression system based on the model inputs. Then the instructions cause the processor to derive an operation schedule for the at least one compression system based on the model inputs and the model, and apply the operation schedule to the at least one gas compression system.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: September 29, 2020
Assignee: INNIO Jenbacher GmbH & Co OG
Inventors: Maruthi Narasinga Rao Devarakonda, Aaron Avagliano, Trevor James Kirsten, James Richard Zurlo, Douglas Alan Kiesling
  • Patent number: 10463990
Abstract: A multiphase pumping system for transporting a fluid includes a multiphase pump configured to increase pressure within the fluid and a recuperator in fluid communication with the multiphase pump. The recuperator is configured to remove thermal energy from a fluid upstream of the multiphase pump and is further configured to add thermal energy to a fluid downstream of the multiphase pump. The multiphase pumping system further includes a cooler configured to remove thermal energy from the fluid upstream of the multiphase pump.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: November 5, 2019
    Assignee: General Electric Company
Inventors: Guillaume Becquin, Mark Ronald Lynass, Trevor James Kirsten

  • Patent number: 9540959
Abstract: A system and method for generating electric power using a generator coupled to a turboexpander is disclosed. The system includes one or more thermal pumps configured for heating a fluid to generate a pressurized gas. A portion of the pressurized gas is discharged to a buffer chamber for further utilization in a Rankine system. A further portion of the pressurized gas is expanded in a turboexpander for driving a generator for generating electric power. Optionally, the system includes a pump to pressurize a portion of the fluid depending on the systems operating condition. The system further includes one or more sensors for sensing temperature and pressure and outputs one or more signals representative of the sensed state. The system includes a control unit for receiving the signals and outputs one or more control signals for controlling the flow of gases and liquid in the valves and the check valve.
