  • Publication number: 20240149490
Abstract: A method of fabricating a refractory metal ceramic matrix interpenetrating phase harsh environment capable composite is provided. The method includes forming a reinforcing phase by additive manufacturing and introducing a matrix material to the reinforcing phase. The step of introducing the matrix material may be performed by additive manufacturing or a densification process. The reinforcing phase may be a lattice formed of metal or a ceramic, and the matrix material may be a ceramic or a metal. Alternatively, the reinforcing phase formed by additive manufacturing is a laminate layer, and the matrix material introduced to the reinforcing phase is a laminate layer deposited on the reinforcing phase by additive manufacturing in a plurality of alternating layers. A refractory metal ceramic matrix composite is also disclosed. The refractory metal ceramic matrix composite includes a lattice formed by additive manufacturing, and a matrix material deposited in the lattice.

  • Publication number: 20240136781
Abstract: An RF connector is provided. The RF connector includes a first outer contactor, an outer sleeve in contact with the first outer contactor, an outer spring in contact with the first outer contactor and configured to resist axial translation of the first outer contactor with respect to the outer sleeve, a first inner contactor, an inner sleeve in contact with the first inner contactor, and an inner spring in contact with the first inner contactor and configured to resist axial translation of the first inner contactor with respect to the inner sleeve. The RF connector is configured to be removably coupled between a first board and a second board when axially compressed between the first and second boards, and a resistance to the axial compression provided by the outer spring and the inner spring holds the RF connector in place with respect to the first and second boards.

  • Patent number: 6223551
Abstract: An envelope for keeping susceptible materials such as drugs within an acceptable temperature for durations to allow for transport of the drugs to recipients the cold keeping envelope having an outer insulating envelope and an inner envelope or envelope like shape having liquid or liquid like material to be frozen held within a plurality of separate cells forming the inner envelope such that when the liquid or liquid like material is frozen solid, the inner envelope or envelope like shape can still be easily opened caused to open by relative rotation of separate cell to allow for insertion of articles therein. There are further described constructions including an outer envelope of bubble pack with a metallised reflective surface, joining of inner and outer envelope parts, double thicknesses of bubble pack material, use of frozen cells on one side only of the envelope shape, and shapes and relative location of cells to facilitate bending of the frozen materials.
