  • Publication number: 20240059077
Abstract: A modular simplex thermal printer that produces full color dye sublimation prints. Two individual modular printer units are stackable so that when the two simplex modular units are combined the lower printer unit can be loaded with duplex thermal receiver media which is printed on one side by the lower unit and then transferred through a slot and print transport path to the upper printer unit where the upper printer unit prints on the other non-printed side of the duplex receiver media.

  • Patent number: 11839992
Abstract: A mechanism is described herein to drive slitter and cutter waste in a direction that allows for a more advantageous use of the waste collection bin's volume. The waste drive mechanism allows for at least one armature that drives the waste in a desired direction. The armature is made from a material that is flexible, with a curved shape to allow a pre-loaded force against a contact surface of the waste collection bin. The pre-loaded flexible armature against a contact surface of the collection bin provides sufficient force to drive the waste it in a desired direction, allowing for a more consistent use of the waste collection bin spatial volume.

  • Patent number: 7720331
Abstract: An apparatus for performing mode scrambling in a multimode optical fibre 1 comprises an electromechanical transducer 3 and a signal generator 9. A portion of the fibre 1, which is in the form of a loop 5, is arranged with its ends 6 fixed to the transducer 3, but with the remainder of the portion being left free to vibrate. The signal generator 9 drives the transducer 3 so as to form a succession of bends of differing bend radii in the portion of the fibre as a beam of electromagnetic radiation travels through the fibre, thereby “scrambling” the beam as it travels through the fibre.

  • Patent number: 5382951
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system for transmitting messages between a control terminal and controlled terminals for use especially in home automation installations. The controlled terminals are installed on a transmission network connected to the control terminal. The messages all have the same structure and include an originator field and a destination field. To install a new terminal a data item specific thereto is entered in the terminal. The new terminal installed transmits an installation request message including the specific data item to the terminal. In response the control terminal transmits an installation message which includes all the data needed for the installed terminal to converse with the control terminal.
