  • Publication number: 20100294322
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the mechanical treatment of a reusable medical product. Said method comprises the following steps: a) the medical product (11) is placed in a closable cassette (14) comprising connections for the supply and discharge of a treatment medium, and comprising at least one inside connection to which rinsable cavities and/or channels for the medical product are connected in such a way that the treatment medium can pass through said cavities and/or channels, b) the cassette (14) is closed, c) a fresh, liquid treatment medium is supplied to the supply connections of the cassette (14), the medium in the cassette (14) coming into contact with the medical product and the treatment being carried out, and the treatment medium flows through the cavities and/or channels; d) the treatment medium is discharged from the discharging connections; and e) the discharged treatment medium is rejected, the temperature of the treatment medium not exceeding 100° C.

  • Patent number: 5073947
Abstract: The invention concerns a hearing device for a protective helmet with a receiving deice for auditory signals, that at the very least are deliverable from the earphones arranged on the inner surface of the protective helmet. The invention has as its basic function to reduce the volume of the helmet contruction and the weight of the hearing device in relation to the usual construction, and to make the positioning of the earphones on the ears of the helmet wearer unnecessary. The purpose will be met in that the earphones in the outer auditory canal of the helmet wearer will be developed as importable earplugs. The auditory signals that are supplied by a receiving device consisting of a receiver and a coupled transmitter will be transmitted from the transmitter of the receiving device over a wireless transmission line that is integrated into the earplug-receiver of the earplug.

  • Patent number: 5027437
Abstract: A suite for the support of the body in respect of acceleration forces has ducts running therethrough forming pressure bodies which are distributed among different suit areas and are filled with a pressure-generating medium, which serves at the same time as the thermal conditioning agent, which is supplied from a pressure supply unit which does not hinder the heat exchange between the body and the cooling medium so as to function as a heat suit. The comfort of wear is improved with simultaneous protection against acceleration forces and a tempering of the body by circulating a heat carrier medium which can flow through at least individual areas of the suit. The areas are connected to a heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 4972831
Abstract: A gas ratio controlling device for anesthetic appliances, wherein the throughput ratio of oxygen to anesthetic gas (oxygen:anesthetic gas) is controlled by means of a control circuit with a control valve operating depending on the concentration parameters required. The oxygen ratio in the supply gas must not fall below a preset value. The control is improved in order to secure that the oxygen content does not fall below the required minimum during small gas mixture flow rates and the invention provides a means of adjustment for small anesthetic gas values. According to the invention this is achieved by a control valve situated in the anesthetic gas supply line which can be bridged by a by-pass line having a throttle.

  • Patent number: 4903346
Abstract: A helmet with a forward face opening and a downward neck opening comprises a hard outer shell and a custom fittable and split inner shell which fits the head of the wearer without play, is easy to put on and take off, and has a high degree of mechanical stability and provides optimal wearer comfort. For this purpose the inner shell is connectable with the outer shell and it has a fixed inner contour custom fitted to the wearer's head, a one-piece outer shell is slipped over and forms the closure for the inner shell.

  • Patent number: 4838261
Abstract: The invention is directed to a gas metering arrangement which includes a measuring chamber with a measuring-chamber change-over valve and an expansion chamber with an expansion-chamber change-over valve. The chambers can be filled with a predetermined feed pressure from a gas source. These chambers are discharged via a blocking valve to a consumer by switching the valves when a predetermined pressure difference is reached between the respective pressures in said chambers and the pressure in a pressure chamber. The load on the individual switching valves is reduced and the metering of low gas quantities as well as high gas quantities is achieved with switching valves which are adapted to the different flow velocities. For this purpose, the expansion-chamber change-over valve is arranged in series with the measuring-chamber change-over valve with the outputs of the valves being connected to the output conduit of the metering arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4651730
Abstract: In medical apparatus, an accurate and quickly responding metering is required for admixing anesthetic gases. The gas pressure must not be a disturbing factor. A gas metering device comprises a metering unit connected to the gas source and delivering the metered gas through an outlet. A control is effected through an electrically operated control unit having a desired value input section and a display section. The gas enters into an inlet buffer of the metering unit and passes therefrom into a pressure space and simultaneously, through a change -over valve 11 in normal position, into a measuring space. In its switched position, a change over valve establishes connection to the outlet. In the outlet line a switch valve is provided closing in its normal position and opening in its switched position. The pressure space and the measuring space are connected to each other through a differential pressure sensor.
