Publication number: 20120272247Abstract: A method and system for software emulation of hardware support for multi-threaded processing using virtual hardware threads is provided. A software threading system executes on a node that has one or more processors, each with one or more hardware threads. The node has access to local memory and access to remote memory. The software threading system manages the execution of tasks of a user program. The software threading system switches between the virtual hardware threads representing the tasks as the tasks issue remote memory access requests while in user privilege mode. Thus, the software threading system emulates more hardware threads than the underlying hardware supports and switches the virtual hardware threads without the overhead of a context switch to the operating system or change in privilege mode.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 22, 2011Publication date: October 25, 2012Inventors: Steven L. Scott, Gregory B. Titus, Sung-Eun Choi, Troy A. Johnson, David Mizell, Michael F. Ringenburg, Karlon West

Publication number: 20090008901Abstract: Improved handles are provided for a wheelchair brake lever and legrest release lever of a wheelchair. Each handle has a first end with a slot for receiving the respective lever, and a second end extending angularly from the first end so as to be nonplanar and noncoaxial with the respective levers. The handles include ribs or textured surfaces for improved tactile feel, and are made of brightly colored material for high visibility. Increased size, feel and visibility of the handles make them easier to locate for a person sitting in the wheelchair.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 2, 2007Publication date: January 8, 2009Inventors: Bette McCombs Guzman, Troy A. Patent number: 7412807Abstract: A cabinet dryer door includes a truss attached to the door to establish seal compression for adequate sealing of the door against the drying cabinet. The inner door has spacers molded into the inner door. The truss cooperates with the spacers to bias the door against the seal. The drying cabinet may utilize a pair of doors with at least one having a truss that establishes a seal compression in both of the doors. The truss is joined to the inner door by a screw located in the center of the truss. The method has the step securing a truss member to the door and curving the door to create a biasing force.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2004Date of Patent: August 19, 2008Assignee: Whirlpool CorporationInventors: Troy A. Patent number: 7137211Abstract: A clothes drying cabinet is provided with a shaker assembly including a bar suspended in the cabinet for supporting clothes hangers. A motor is mounted adjacent the bar and has a drive shaft. A drive weight is eccentrically mounted to the drive shaft of the motor so that upon actuation of the motor, the drive weight imparts a shaking motion to the bar so as to facilitate removal of wrinkles from the clothing on the hangers. A ballast weight may also be provided in the shaker assembly so as to evenly distribute the energy from the eccentric weight regardless of the weight of the clothes hanging on the bar.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2004Date of Patent: November 21, 2006Assignee: Maytag CorporationInventors: Troy A. Johnson, Dean L. Schaffran

Publication number: 20060045680Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for manufacturing containers, such as rotationally-molded noise-dampening containers. The containers may be made of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) with a unique structural configuration to provide a low maintenance, noise-dampening, impact and dent resistant, durable, strong and rust proof container. The bottom of the container optionally includes strengthening bars positioned within molded grooves to provide an additionally reinforced bottom panel of the container. A nut may be molded in place during the rotational molding process to connect to a caster plate thereto and thus provide an integral leak-proof connection to the wheel assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2005Publication date: March 2, 2006Applicant: American Container and Recycling, IncorporatedInventors: John d'Arc Lorenz, Robert Berres, Troy Johnson

Publication number: 20050210931Abstract: A washing machine includes an inner tub rotatably mounted within an outer tub having a rear wall portion and a main body portion. A balancing fluid reservoir is molded to an upper region of the main body portion of the outer tub. The reservoir includes an opening leading to a plurality of fluid delivery channels molded along the rear wall portion of the outer tub. Preferably two channels are molded into the outer tub for delivering the balancing fluid to the inner tub, and a third channel for returning the balancing fluid to the reservoir. A cover plate, having a pair of receiver openings for injector valves, is positioned to close off the first, second and third channels.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2004Publication date: September 29, 2005Inventors: Vincent Contini, Paul George, Troy Johnson

Publication number: 20050210929Abstract: A washing machine is provided with an out-of-balance correction system which can sense an out-of-balance condition of an inner tub during a washing cycle. More specifically, the correction system supplies an amount of balancing fluid to one or more receiving pockets formed in the inner tub about front and rear injection zones of the inner tub. Stationary injectors are provided to selectively dispense the balancing fluid through molded passages extending between an outer tub and the receiving pockets.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2004Publication date: September 29, 2005Inventors: Paul George, Troy Johnson, James Saunders

Publication number: 20050210602Abstract: A washing machine includes an on-axis balancing fluid injection system for correcting an out-of-balance rotating inner tub or spinner. The laundry appliance includes an outer tub having molded thereto a plurality of fluid delivery channels into which are arranged a pair of stationary balancing fluid injectors which selectively dispense the balancing fluid into either a front or rear injection zone of the inner tub. Upon activation, the injectors discharge an amount of balancing fluid into a nozzle assembly which is positioned to re-direct the balancing fluid into select pockets arranged about the front and rear injection zones. The injectors discharge the balancing fluid near a hub portion of the rotating inner tub so that the fluid is dispensed at an area of low velocity.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2004Publication date: September 29, 2005Inventors: Vincent Contini, Paul George, Troy Johnson
