  • Publication number: 20230198349
Abstract: Generators, systems, and methods can comprise a resistance temperature detector (RTD) module; a controller area network (CAN) module; and an optical interface between the RTD module and the CAN module. The optical interface can be directly connected to each of the RTD module and the CAN module. The RTD module can be configured to convert first optical signals from the optical interface to first RTD signals and to convert second RTD signals to second optical signals for transmission through the optical interface to the CAN module. The CAN module can be configured to convert the second optical signals from the optical interface to first CAN signals and to convert second CAN signals to the first optical signals for transmission through the optical interface to the resistance temperature detector (RTD) module.

  • Patent number: 11013948
Abstract: A strength training apparatus that includes a base frame configured to rest on a surface, first and second main support arms each extending from the base frame, and a user's platform armrest configured to be releasably secured to distal ends of the first and second main support arms and span therebetween. The apparatus may be used in combination with a weight bench to support a user's arms during supine triceps extensions. The user may lie on the weight bench below the user's platform armrest, hold a free weight with one or both hands, locate and maintain one or both upper arms against a first side of the user's platform armrest, and perform an exercise by repeatedly extending and bending one or both arms at the elbows while their arm(s) are against the user's platform armrest.

  • Publication number: 20200166401
Abstract: During crop dusting application, there is no accurate method to detect the quantity of dry product onboard. This can lead to improper application rates and waste of product. The dry quantity gauge system solves this problem. The system detects strain on select structures of the aircraft during flight. The system monitors other in-flight aircraft characteristics that induce errors on the payload weight estimation. The software filter changes the influence of collected measurements based on the sensor data. The result is a stable and reliable payload estimate for the pilot at any given time during flight even during product application. Since the pilot will always know the amount of product onboard, it builds pilot's intuition, reduces workload, and ensures a more accurate application for the client. There are no similar systems to date that weigh the aircraft payload in flight.

  • Publication number: 20200148358
Abstract: A crop duster dump gate opens and closes to turn on and off the flow of payload out of the hopper. The traditional mechanical gate is actuated by the pilot through mechanical linkages. The effort required by the pilot to open and close the gate requires significant force and can lead to fatigue or injury. The powered dump gate system is an add-on to the existing traditional mechanical gate system by a booster that is hydraulic, pneumatic, or electric. The powered dump gate eliminates strenuous effort by the pilot and requires no change to the pilot's work environment and methods.

  • Publication number: 20140215474
Abstract: A workflow container is established that is associated with a profile, where the profile specifies a set of actions. A set of data items can be received in the workflow container, and multiple actions can be performed on the set of data items based on the profile. In implementing the workflow, one example provides or a first set of operations are performed for a given data item in parallel with a second set of operations. The first set of operations communicate the first data item to at least a first destination, and the second set of operations communicate the given data item to at least a second destination.

  • Patent number: 8450998
Abstract: A system for determining the quantity of a liquid agricultural product available for spraying on a field from a tank in an airplane comprising a payload storage tank for holding the agricultural product, an elongated magnetostrictive linear displacement transducer tube located vertically in the aircraft payload storage tank, a probe float slidably coupled to move up or down on the elongated magnetostrictive linear displacement transducer tube, and a permanent magnet coupled to the probe float. The position of the magnet is sensed by the elongated magnetostrictive linear displacement transducer tube which generates a signal that marks the level of the liquid in the aircraft payload storage tank, and converter means converts the generated signal that marks the level of the liquid in the aircraft payload storage tank to a quantity of liquid in the aircraft payload storage tank which is displayed to the pilot.
