Abstract: A system to share content utilizing universal link format is described. The system may an access request detector, a universal link interpreter, and a communication module. The access request detector may detect a request to access target content provided by a resource host computer. The universal link interpreter may determine that the request is associated with a uniform resource locator (URL) that comprises one or more directives for directing the requested content to an execution environment suitable for a platform of the client computer, may determine a platform of the client computer, and determine execution environment for the requested target content. The universal link interpreter may then interpret the one or more directives in the URL, based on the determined execution environment.

Abstract: A user interacts with item listing while shopping for a gift for an intended recipient. Based on the user interactions, a recommendation engine selects item listings describing items for sale for presentation to the user, the item listings being for items of interest to the intended recipient. The selection is based on interactions by the user with item listings (e.g., past purchases by the user), attributes of the selected item listings, a wish list of the intended recipient, and behavior of other users. A recommendation may also be presented based on a date of an occasion for which an item may be purchased by the user as a gift for the intended recipient.

The display includes three control objects positioned below a video frame window on a display screen. A middle displayed object is located in a focus position and corresponds to the video segment currently being played in the video window. When play of the segment is complete, the object located to the right of the focus position moves and displaces the middle displayed object, most recently displayed within the focus position, to indicate a forward progression within the viewed video sequence.

Abstract: A method for displaying programmatic content comprising a first step of indexing within a table segments of the programmatic content using at least two possibly overlapping thematic categories, then enabling user selection of at least one of the thematic categories for viewing. The segments of programmatic content are arranged into a video sequence responsive to the user-selected thematic category. The video sequence is then displayed in substantial synchronicity with annotative information associated with a currently viewed segment of the video sequence.
