    Abstract: Retroreflective material, and articles of manufacture made therefrom and process of making the same, wherein the color of an underlying colored material, such as colored thermoplastic film, is visible, in visible light, through the portion of an overlying substantially clear material, such as clear thermoplastic film, which clear material is sealed such as by heat sealing, to the colored material, the sealing obliterates or removes the retroreflective surface intermediate the materials at the place of sealing making the color of the underlying colored material visible through the sealed portion; the retroreflectivity of the remaining intermediate retroreflective surface is undiminished. Upon the entire periphery of the overlying and underlying layers of material being sealed, the remaining retroreflective surface intermediate the layers is completely sealed against contamination and the retroreflectivity of the remaining intermediate surface is undiminished.
