Abstract: Systems and methods described provide ways to order channels surfed such that channels of likely greater interest to the user are presented to the user first, and channels of lesser interest are presented after. For examples, channels showing popular programs may be placed higher in a channel surfing lineup. The systems and methods may also take account of channels that are showing commercials during a time of channel surfing, and may skip over the same while surfing and/or may come back to the channel, or re-place or otherwise include the channel in the surfing lineup, at such time as the commercial has ended and regular programming has continued.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide methods of reanimating multimedia content, comprising: accessing multimedia content; accessing a plurality of dubbed vocalized content; determining a playback duration of a first dubbed vocalized content is different than a first primary vocalized content; identifying a first portion of the primary visual content corresponding to the first primary vocalized content; modifying the first portion of the primary visual content such that a number of frames in the first portion of the primary visual content is changed and has a playback duration that is more consistent with the playback duration of the first dubbed vocalized content; identifying a character movement corresponding to each distinct vocal sound within the first dubbed vocalized content; and reanimating a first character such that reanimated character movements of the first character are consistent and synchronized with the identified character movement corresponding to each of the distinct vocal sounds.

Abstract: Certain aspects of a system and method for seamless navigation of content between different devices may include one or more devices communicably coupled to one or more servers through a communication network. The devices are capable of rendering content. The device generates the status information corresponding to the first content and communicates the status information to a server when the device navigates from the first content and/or to a second content. The device can render the second content based on a metadata associated with the second content received from the server. The server generates a metadata associated the first content based on the status information received from the device. The server saves the metadata associated with the first content. The server communicates the metadata associated with the first content to a device when the first content has to be rendered in the device.

Abstract: Provided are ways in which a camera can be operated by a control device. Such provides a convenient solution whenever, e.g., two friends, each with a cell phone, wish to take a well-composed impromptu group picture. The “camera” may be any type of camera, which can be coupled to the control or monitoring device. Typical cameras include those associated with mobile devices, such as cell phone cameras, but also dedicated cameras with transceiver functionality. The control device is often a mobile device such as a cell phone, but can also be a dedicated monitoring device. In one implementation, the control device can control the direction of view, the field of view, and shutter operation, and provide to the user an image of the current view seen. In this implementation, the user may control most significant aspects of camera composition, as well as initiating the capture of the image.

The secondary device provides a control function and reachability (availability to communicate) of the selected IPTV device is determined by the server. The execution of the control function provided by the secondary device is independent of whether the selected IPTV device is reachable or not.

Abstract: A process to experience a two touch interface with single touch functionality is disclosed. Use of two fingers simultaneously presents a degree of freedom constraint on the hand. In an embodiment of the present invention, the simultaneous two touch interface is simulated using a single touch process. In a special input mode, a mechanism is used to first fix a point of reference. A second and subsequent single touch with respect to the fixed point of reference is then made. The time skewed touches enable free use of the index finger for both touches. Closed figures are easily drawn and zoom in and zoom out functions are similarly implemented by a point of reference and a line traced away from or to the object. Limitations of the dual touch are overcome, while maintaining full interface capability of the dual touch.
