  • Publication number: 20160078324
Abstract: In an example implementation, a method of iterative calibration includes, in a first iteration, measuring first values of a calibration parameter, and determining first corrections for the measured first values. The method includes, in a next iteration, measuring next values of the calibration parameter that incorporate the first corrections. The first corrections are omitted from the next iteration measurements to provide pseudo iteration measurements, and the first iteration measurements are averaged with the pseudo iteration measurements. Second corrections are then determined based on the averaging.

  • Patent number: 9063884
Abstract: A signal from a system, such as a reactive system, that reflects health indicators of the system may be selected. A signal analyzer may extract the health indicators from the signal and conduct a diagnostics of the health of the system based on the health indicators.

  • Publication number: 20150138571
Abstract: In one embodiment, a processor-readable medium stores code representing instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to print a print job, and determine target color data for each sheet of the print job while printing the job. The instructions further cause the processor to continually save the target color data to a server for each sheet of the print job as each sheet is printed.

  • Patent number: 8902483
Abstract: A method of accurately printing a target color is provided. The method comprises: in a first step measuring the light spectrum (106) of a first printed color sample (104), which has been printed with a first ink coverage; and from the measured light spectrum calculating a color discrepancy between the first printed color sample and the target color. The method further comprises in a second step calculating an improved ink coverage (112), and printing a second color sample with the improved ink coverage (104). The aforementioned steps are repeated until a predetermined condition for accuracy of the target color has been reached (110).

  • Publication number: 20140211227
Abstract: A method and system for monitoring an image capturing device determines a distortion of an image of a printing medium, wherein the image is captured by means of an image capturing device, such as an in-line camera or scanner, and wherein the image comprises a calibration pattern with a plurality of calibration marks printed on the printing medium. The calibration pattern comprises at least a first sub-set of calibration marks relating to a first separation and a second sub-set of calibration marks relating to a second separation. The distortion is determined by analyzing the first sub-set of calibration marks, and the image is corrected based on said determined distortion. The displacement of the second sub-set of calibration marks with respect to the first sub-set of calibration marks may then be determined. The invention may be employed in a wide range of printers and presses.
