  • Patent number: 7305125
Abstract: The invention is to provide a color-correcting device and method for matching colors of a first image displayed on an image forming apparatus with colors of a second image displayed on a display apparatus. Moreover, the image forming apparatus captures the first image with a plurality of first color values conforming to a first color space. The image forming apparatus also converts the first color values of the first image into a plurality of second color values conforming to a second color space and outputs the second color values to the display apparatus that displays the second image based on the inputted second color values. In one embodiment, the first color space contains R, G, B, color components, and the second color space contains Y, Cr, Cb color components.

  • Publication number: 20040257599
Abstract: The invention provides a color-correcting device and method for correcting the colors, by use of a well-calibrated first image forming apparatus, sensed by a second image forming apparatus identical to said first image forming apparatus. A first image, associated with a standard color card, is previously captured by the first image forming apparatus under a standard environment. The color-correcting device and method of the invention first captures a second image associated with the standard color card by the second image forming apparatus under the standard environment, and then, based on the first image and the second image, generates a color correction matrix in the second image forming apparatus. When the second image forming apparatus is turned on , the color correction matrix is loaded, and the colors sensed by the second image forming apparatus are corrected in accordance with the color correction matrix.

  • Publication number: 20040228613
Abstract: An editing and display controller used in a portable digital image capture device allows users to edit image files and to perform further displaying. Each of the image files comprises a comment column and a corresponding image. The device comprises an on screen display controller, an editing controller, and a display controller. The editing controller comprises an input interface and a compiling module. The input interface provides input options of a plurality of image and character editing functions and permits the users to edit the corresponding image and character in at least one target image file. The compiling module compiles the selected inputs received by the input interface as a corresponding control code and records the control code in the comment column of the target image file in a way that does not destroy the image of the target image file to achieve the non-destructive editing.
